OldTimeWrestler's Achievements

  1. Has to be Nick Lee choosing injured to go after Red. Balls of steel and didnt care what the outcome was. Already had 1 title, and wanted to go after the current GOAT.
  2. Funny to call a lock on a wrestler who lost to the top ranked wrestler at the current weight. I’d say you have biased that isn’t aware of the current weight results. A. Courtney beat Huyvaert head to head. Courtney this year has proven the ability to win EVERY close match. B. Reynolds has beat Courtney. And beat him handily. 11-4. May be the most dangerous wrestler in the state series. Nobody, and I mean nobody can score like him on top. C. Arberry. May be the most defensive wrestler in the class. Nobody can match his athleticism. He wrestles on the edge and dares officials to call stalling. D. Doster & Walker say hello. Nothing is given. You may want to have a locksmith on standby. Huyvaert can and may win 144, but to call him a lock, you show your lack of understanding of the class.
  3. The kid is notorious for it. Glad the ref called him for it. Facts
  4. This doesn’t seem to be a viable alternative for that. Levell would have to bump Arberry. Ison and Reynolds. Same for 150 coming down. Kresja would have to bump Courtney and Gibbs Reynolds. I am not sure May could make 144 as I believe he started season at 157. I think you could potentially see Arberry or maybe Walker go back to 150 as both started out there. Either way, 144 is completely wide open with 4-5 wrestlers, all with different styles of wrestling having a legit shot.
  5. I had an opportunity to chat with this young man last weekend at Freestyle State in Avon for the first time. To hear him tell his story to us on how they had to “fix him” as he described it is truly amazing. He said he did not know when he will be back and he is still not cleared to practice or even lift weights. He was showing several other wrestlers his scars, and I can honestly say we just looked on in amazement. God Speed on his recovery and prayers to for a full recovery.
  6. I have been following several of these young men who will be freshman over the years as they have competed against my grandson. Brownsburg will have no problem with this sectional. Dickman will be a contender to win at 106 and I do not know what weight Reynolds will be. He seems to be jumping weight classes at a fast pace, but I have not seen an incoming freshman more physically ready to compete like him at these middle weights. He will be in the mix. Add in Gibbs and Haines and this team has reloaded to dominate the Indy area for the near future.
