Gavin lewis had a heck of a tournament in an extremely tough bracket placing 3rd! Had some great wins against some tough kids including last yrs runner up Joseph curry.

A few names that are in the mix for cp will be rianne Murphy, griffin van tichelt, Austin reading, gavin Lewis, sonny sessa, Christian washington whom all have unlimited potential as well.

Will always be a fan no matter what singlet! Would of loved to see him compete in indiana, but mt carmel has a top notch program and just got a top notch family! Go kick some butt big E!

Clinton was absolutely devastated and andrew howe fought like a beast to challenge it right after the match but they would not accept the challenge and you can see at the end andrew threw brick and they gave it back and andrew even walked on the mat after the match to talk to them! But 1 thing I'm EXTREMELY proud of is the fact that clinton handled it better than 99% of the adults in the world and eventually said "it is what it is" have to move on and handle business! Proud of his grit, determination and attitude! -
Freshman class will be fun to watch! I'm excited to watch clinton and I know he is excited for season. Evan is 100% a hammer (strong as a bull) and gonna make a monster splash as well. These two work together often and they go at it as fierce competitors and friends! Lucas Boe is imo one that could be in the running to win at a higher weight class which don't happen much. Kid has his own style and does very unique things and a great kid but this whole class will be fun. Watch out for Gavin Lewis too as he is a kid that will be maturing and is already a stud beating placers already and looks for partners to push himself. Him and braylon have had some good matches! And braylon is a stud as well! Case bell and mj staples i believe will have 1 more yr but both are gonna be scary good entering freshman year as well. We could see several freshman champs and placers in. Clinton, evan, lewis, boe, reynolds, vargo etc. Gonna be fun to watch!

To me andrew howe is an easy pick as the GOAT of indiana! Hard not to believe that when we can say he was close in matches to the actual GOAT jordan Burroughs. Jordan Burroughs would hurt after wrestling howe and one can say for a number of years howe was the 2nd best wrestler in the WORLD behind the US goat. 1. Howe 2. Micic

You can def. See the state growing as a whole! All the amazing indiana clubs and academies showed up this weekend and only improving! Kudos to all the Indiana kids and clubs that showed up and put the work in and all representing in style and class!

Not always a sports decision either, most of these schools have top notch academics and funding for better learning opportunities to be better prepared for college and life which is important, great communities, great booster support, coaching, lifting, competition etc. At the end of the day we shouldn't be bitter,mad, jealous but supportive of families and especially children by giving them great opportunities! I'll always root for any kid from any school that works hard but if a family decides a situation benefits them better than so be it. If we had a class system instead a a single would this be an issue? If kids were allowed in season to club practice with club coaches would that solve some issues from moving? I feel state restricts and makes us make tough decisions sometimes as well. At the end of the day all of the wrestlers no matter where they end up have the same end goals in common and the parents all continue with an empty wallet! Let's be supportive and encourage development and growth no matter where any kid ends up, unless they leave indiana then supports gone! Jk jk

Van tichelt ceiling is crazy high, kid has improved every match as season has went on. A crazy good all around athlete with an insanely good room full of talented wrestlers and coaches! 132- Griff 138- hueyvart Both these guys make a deep run!

This is the match that could surprise some people. Huyvaert capable of winning this match and pulling the upset. Kid works extremely hard and is wrestling lights out! This will be a close one, a lot closer than some people think!

Next year will be interesting to say the least but CP will still have rianne Murphey, gavin jendreas, Anthony Rhinehart, both Paul and will Clark as well as LT Hawkins, Christian and evan Cruz who has been putting in a ton of work and with some really impressive underclassmen who are always improving and will be making a run in van tichelt, haney etc. For underclassmen coming in they get clinton shepherd, teigan Newell, both Clarks ben and Zach who will all be in the picture. Brownsburg has alot of young talent which is going to make this a fun match-up for years to come!

Clinton will attend crown point next year! Thank you for the kind words. He works extremely hard at wrestling and more importantly in the classroom. We are very proud of his effort and drive in all areas of life at a young age. Lucky to be surrounded by great coaches and a great support system that family and indiana wrestling provides as well.

Great getting all the clubs together, fun day of wrestling and every match was state type matches! Great atmosphere!

Jayden lewis qualifying and took Demarco to OT as a freshman! Jendreas looked dominate in win over undefeated Bailey and looked amazing all day! Still would like to see semi state offer a way for wrestle backs to get the best to the show. Always feel several kids miss out by draws or 1 slip up like a headlock! Awesome day of wrestling though! -
195 Clark wins, would love to see Oliver at 120 get to indy as well as fritz at 126. Frttz has beat brabender before! I believe fritz has a good draw to make the show!

This was without a doubt the coolest high school event I have witnessed. Better than alot of college and pro events. Glad we went. It was good for the kids and good for the sport. I can only see this heating up as the years go by as I believe they will always be top talent teams. The coolest thing is the amount of indiana kids total from both teams as mt carmel has its fair share of indiana talent as well. Indiana is wrestling, just a little scattered. Fun event

Love this! Indiana is a wrestling state. Really wish the state could work collectively on building gold pool level indiana teams to help growth and development even more. PA kids live in gold brackets! Great job to all the indiana hammers!!
