Yes very nice reward for finishing higher up out of the CP Regional. Not just our kids who finished in 4th but multiple 4 seeds out of the CP Regional seemed to get favorable draws. -

Hence why the draw should be done live and no formula for some secret society to know beforehand.

They do have some great draws which which will help. I would say 7/8 Champs is realistic but the good thing we will find out here on Saturday. The Maldonado boys in my opinion got tough draws for being Regional Champs. Griffin has great draw with DeMarco, Maldonado, and Zar being on the opposite side.

That would be a question for everyone who has done it and I’m sure the answers would be different as everyone has a different situation. I have 3 kids one of started her senior year currently as a 16 year old and that was for different reasons also. I’m sure some are for grades, size, etc as list can go on. I also don’t think you can hold back in 3rd grade and say it’s for size as kids grow and different times. I’m sure a Bantam 60 pound bracket 6 years later will have kids who are barely 100 and some 180.

I’m pretty sure hold backs happen every year for different reasons. Brownsburg and CP both considered the top two teams in the state and line up is filled with kids held back. Most of them I wouldn’t say afraid as wrestled across the country against top kids for many years. Most have competed at IHPO as youngest kid there or on dual teams . I can’t speak for everyone on their reasons just my opinion. But the rules of the state are have to be 19 or under to compete and know they all fall into tHat

Last year at ISWA State my son had a seasoned ref who called the pin and after noticed the kid was bleeding….he says no pin I meant to stop match for Blood time and makes out ankle bands back on and starts match again.

Absolute Stud Freshman who is very dangerous in all positions. So many good freshman from 106 to 170 making real noise this season. 5 Freshman still undefeated with Ty, Huyvaert, Horn, Richards, and Baylor.
