  1. A 138 pound reply...here's my take. Mat 1 #6 Cameron Beam (12-0) Penn Vs Colton Tanber (14-13) LaPorte Austin Morgan (22-13) Lafayette McCutcheon Vs #8 Kasper McIntosh (27-7) Portage Rochester champ Cameron Beam heads a group that has no wrestlers in the top five and yet figures to have an exciting quarterfinal match if Beam and McIntosh win their openers. Beam was tested mightily in the Rochester title match beating Culver Community's Triston Rodriguez 8-7. McIntosh has some tough losses and three of those are to Crown Point's Riley Akers, though McIntosh has beaten Akers 8-4, while also splitting two matches with Chesterton's Diego Lemley. The Portage star was an 11-4 runner up to top ranked and state #4 Clarence Johnson of Merrillville. I like Beam to take the group but he will need to be in top form. Mat 2 #3 Riley Akers (31-2) Crown Point Vs Myles Krintz (29-11) Culver Military Academy Bryan Tate (25-8) Hammond Morton Vs #10 Cody Widner (39-6) Twin Lakes This group has a decisive favorite in Crown Point champ Akers, who won an 11-5 decision over Diego Lemley to take that title. Akers only losses are to Duneland conference foes McIntosh and Clarence Johnson with the latter match a 13-4 defeat. His opponent will be the winner of Tate/Widner, two wrestlers who appear to be on their game. Tate knocked out Jacy Leon of Hobart for 3rd place with a 5-4 victory while Widner wrestled admirably losing 8-7 to Cole Lukaska of Benton Central for the Logan title. I'm going with Tate here, maybe a little region bias is clouding my judgment hard to say. I like Akers to move on in this group. Mat 3 #2 Cole Lukaszka (39-1) Benton Central Vs #7 Jacy Leon (26-11) Hobart Jared Rafferty (26-18) Valparaiso Vs #4 Triston Rodriguez (35-2) Culver Community A travesty of a draw for at least two wrestlers and Logansport champ Lukaszka has a tough match right off the bat with Leon to boot. Lukaszka has just two losses this year both coming to 132 #7 state ranked Nick Ellis of Indianapolis Roncalli. Rodriguez is also a very talented wrestler and was runner up at Rochester to Beam. Rodriguez's only loss aside from Beam this season is to Myles Krintz in a 5-3 decision. By comparison Lukaszka knocked off Krintz 4-1. With the stakes being so high it should be a great quarterfinal between the two rural school wrestlers. Mat 4 #1 Clarence Johnson (35-1) Merrillville Vs Matt Grammer (37-6) Lafayette Jefferson Tarvis Evans (29-8) SB Adams Vs #5 Diego Lemley (30-8) Chesterton Calumet champ Johnson is a clear favorite in this bracket, but anytime you face a wrestler with 37 wins as Grammer has you'll want to bring your A game. Johnson's only loss this season came to Warren Central's stud 132 pounder Matthew McKinney via 2-1 decision. Diego Lemley, the runner up to Akers at CP by an 11-5 decision, is likely to get the chance to somehow upset Johnson. I give Tarvis Evans credit though, knocking #9 Josh Heckathorn out of the tournament at the Rochester and also defeating Krintz 5-0 for 3rd. He has upset potential so Lemley must wrestle well. I like Johnson to take the group. Mat 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 My four state berths 1. Clarence Johnson 2. Cameron Beam 3. Riley Akers 4. Cole Lukaszka Well a veritable meat grinder for these top four but I think the battle is for most the 2, 3, and 4 spots as I like Johnson above the field but Cameron Beam is intriguing and beat a good wrestler in Rodriguez. Akers/Beam should be a great match as well and I wouldn't be shocked if Akers pulled it out and got another shot at Johnson after falling in a 13-4 decision.
  2. Should be another competitive weight class...here's my take. Mat 1 #1 Zach Donaldson (33-2) Crown Point Vs Trisden Gross (31-9) North White Ryan Glasen (28-12) Munster Vs #3 Devin Childers (39-2) Tippecanoe Valley What a terrible draw for both ranked wrestlers as this is much more suited for a semifinal or even a final. Childers 6-3 loss to Joey Bailey for the Rochester title is looms large now that CP champ Donaldson is likely opposite him for a chance at the semis and a state berth. Childers did have a nice 9-3 win over #9 Rishod Cotton of SB Clay. Mat 2 #2 Blake Strawsma (36-2) Benton Central Vs Denver Smith (17-24) Kankakee Valley #9 Rishod Cotton (38-7) SB Clay Vs Justin Johnson (20-16) Merrillville Logan champ Blake Strawsma looks to be the beast of this group as he will likely face Cotton, A third place finisher at Rochester. Justin Johnson will not be a pushover though for Cotton and I wonder about an upset alert here from Johnson as he wrestled very well in the Calumet title match losing just 5-3. Mat 3 #4 Tyler Joseph (25-6) Portage Vs #6 Austen Laughlin (42-6) SB Riley Dee Collins (21-13) Michigan City Vs #10 Clay Jones (37-5) Lafayette Jefferson Ouch is all I can say for Tyler Joseph, the Calumet champ who got a tough opener against Laughlin who fell to fourth after a 16-7 loss to Cotton in the 3rd place match of the loaded Rochester regional. Chalk this up as another possible 4 over 1 upset, but I like Joseph to escape this tough opener and steal the whole group. Clay Jones could prove to an obstacle if Joseph escapes Laughlin but ultimately I'm impressed with the Joseph victory over Donaldson and giving him the nod. Mat 4 Joey Bailey (38-3) Bremen Vs Robert Edwards (20-8) Hammond Morton #7 Jarrett Carden (39-1) Cass Vs Jake Cummens (24-20) Valparaiso This should be a very interesting group, with Rochester champ Joey Bailey leading the way and wrestling well having been Childers 6-3 for that title. It should be noted however that his first round opponent Robert Edwards took out #8 Sergio Castellanos in the Calumet regional so Edwards does have upset potential. Opposite Bailey for a semifinal berth will likely be Jarrett Carden, who is starting to face some stiffer competition at this juncture of the playoffs. Carden was upset in the semis by Clay Jones at the Logan regional via pin in 3:52 and also had a tough 3rd place match winning 7-5 over upstart Trisden Gross. Mat 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 My four state berths 1. Zach Donaldson 2. Tyler Joseph 3. Blake Strawsma 4. Joey Bailey I like Donaldson to take this one home although he will likely be tested by Strawsma in the semis before wrestling DAC rival Joseph for a fourth time with Donaldson winning all three. I would've loved to see Joseph and Strawsma wrestle I think that would've been a great semifinal. With that win over Childers, Bailey cannot be counted out against Joseph and or Strawsma but I believe it plays out as above.
  3. A 126 pound reply! Five wrestlers reside in the top 20 for state so this SS is really pulling its weight. Here's my take... Mat 1 #3 Branden Truver (26-9) Lake Central Vs Colton Cooley (30-8) North White #4 Tristin Ponsler (40-2) Wawasee Vs Zach Wells (23-9) LaPorte Calumet champ Branden Truver seems to be a high #3 with nine losses but regular season losses are nothing but a memory when you catch fire in the post season. An incredible regional effort had Truver knocking out top ranked and 2nd state ranked Gaige Torres of Portage out in the semis 8-5 and finishing off Crary 4-2. Talk about battle tested! He will likely face off with Ponsler who lost a tough semifinal Rochester matchup with Plymouth stud Cody Allmon. Ponsler will be tested however by Zach Wells who lost 4-3 to Valparaiso's Tristan Dembowski. Ill take Truver in a nail biter for this group. Mat 2 Johnathan Ragan (31-9) Delphi Vs #10 Chris Diaz (28-8) Hammond Clark #7 Chris Trent (33-8) New Prairie Vs #8 Cody Allmon (30-8) Plymouth Logan champ Johnathan Ragan faces an interesting dynamic in this group, he's the only wrestler not ranked. I've seen in the forums as this being a trendy pick for a 4-1 upset, and why not I give Diaz the nod he came from a tough regional so it's hard to gauge this match. Cody Allmon is wrestling well right now and is my pick to win the group, although Trent and Diaz will both present challenges. Allmon lost 3-2 for the Rochester title to hometown kid John Hunting but did best Ponsler 6-3 in the semis, avenging two previous losses to the Northern Lakes conference rival. Mat 3 #6 John Hunting (35-5) Rochester Vs Bryce Niewoehner (15-9) Kankakee Valley #1 Gaige Torres (30-2) Portage Vs Austin McGreevey (34-11) Lafayette Jeff Rochester champ John Hunting gets a tough draw in this group, as he will likely face off with an understandably ferocious Torres after the Portage star finished 3rd at Calumet. Niewoehner and McGreevey will need their best effort and then some to contend with these favorites but that's why we wrestle the matches. Torres is my pick here to get back on track but Hunting could give him fits. Hunting did have a close 6-4 defeat to Truver earlier in the season so he's close. Mat 4 #5 Tristan Dembowski (34-9) Valparaiso Vs Deven Beaver (19-15) Mishawaka Jacob Wade (40-11) Harrison West Lafayette Vs #2 Jason Crary (30-2) Munster CP champ Tristan Dembowski finds himself with a tough road to the semis with a likely matchup with Crary, who defeated Dembowski 15-3 earlier in the season. I don't see much changing this time around but we will see if the Valparaiso wrestler has other plans. Mat 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 semis My four state berths 1. Gaige Torres 2. Branden Truver 3. Jason Crary 4. Cody Allmon I just think the region has this weight class but I like Torres to regain his form and best Truver for the title. I think Ponsler could easily bust this bracket however and get all the way to face Torres and Crary/Torres will be a good battle. Allmon Vs Truver/Ponsler will also be a good one.
  4. I absolutely can't wait to see this weight class Saturday and some good wrestlers will be leaving empty handed. Here's my take Mat 1 #6 Jack Tolin (23-3) Chesterton Vs Tondrew Tyler (21-7) SB Washington Ty Watson (31-14) Delphi Vs #1 Jeremiah Reitz (27-2) Griffith Well nothing like having the 106 pound 2014 state champ in your bracket as a TWO seed, and Tolin will likely face the angry Griffith wrestler who lost a heated regional final in Calumet 8-4 after winning the sectional against Brendan Black of Hobart. A valiant effort will be needed by any of these wrestlers to unseat Reitz but I still think we will see Reitz on to the semis from this group. Reitz has bested Tolin once already this year with a 17-2 tech fall victory. Mat 2 #3 Kyle Hatch (39-1) Warsaw Vs Zach Galvan (22-16) Lowell #8 Miguel Prado (26-7) Portage Vs Justin Porter (36-5) Logansport Rochester champ Kyle Hatch leads the way in this group as we have a couple matches that have ranked favorites. Prado finished 3rd in a rough regional that included Black and Reitz and gets and interesting opponent with a good record in Porter who has knocked off Avery Grimes of Lafayette Jeff 7-1 so that should be a good 1st round battle. Hatch gave SB Clay stud Jake Hartman his first loss of the year 6-4 in the regional championship. I like Hatch to take the group and advance to the semis with a win over Prado. Mat 3 #2 Brendan Black (26-3) Hobart Vs #10 Avery Grimes (31-6) Lafayette Jefferson Lucas Major (20-16) New Prairie Vs #4 Jake Hartman (43-1) SB Clay This is what we would call an unfortunate draw. Hartman and Calumet champ Black should be nothing short of a blowout. Grimes is probably the strongest four seed of the weight class but Black is a stud with losses only to rival Reitz. I think Hartman wrestles valiantly but ultimately I still think the finals of 120 will be Black v Reitz part 6 and that would of course mean a defeat for Hartman. A shame since Hartman does have a 6-2 win over Logan champ Brady White of Rensselaer Central. Mat 4 #7 Brady White (36-1) Rensselaer Central Vs Tristin Pappas (22-15) Lake Central #5 Ryan Hardesty (29-7) Mishawaka Vs Austin Torres (25-7) Crown Point Logan champ Brady White, a 6-3 winner for that title over Porter is probably fully aware of how deep this weight is as his one loss record has netted him just a 7th spot in the local rankings. He will likely face Hardesty, who was a victim of a tough Rochester regional that included Hartman and Hatch. His first opponent is no picnic however in Torres who lost a close 6-3 battle with Tolin for the CP title. Hardesty did suffer a loss via pin to Black earlier in the season and while White doesn't have many common opponents I will take the RC wrestler in this group. Mat 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 semis My four state berths 1. Reitz 2. Black 3. Hatch 4. White Well I could certainly eat my words here as I think any of the top three could take home the hardware. Hard to judge this completely as Hatch's only loss came to state #2 Sawyer Miller of South Adams by a margin of 4-3 and without and matches between Hatch and Reitz/Black. Looking forward to this group.
  5. The 113 reply! Mat 1 #4 Dustin Miller (33-0) Lafayette Jefferson Vs Jack Walton (17-6) Andrean #5 Cody Crary (38-7) Munster Vs #8 Adam Davis (31-6) Culver Military Academy Dustin Miller, the Logan winner, was the only ranked wrestler to enter the field for his regional. His 12-5 win over Donovan Johnson for the title there is still a decisive victory over a game opponent. He will likely be tested in the quarters against the super frosh battle of Crary/Davis. I still like Miller to advance over the young but fierce Crary who had a tough regional that included Michael De La Pena and Rickie Rodriguez, both state ranked wrestlers at 9th and 12th respectively. Mat 2 #7 Johnathan Moran (24-6) Crown Point Vs Leevin Ball (35-7) North White Bryton Goering (29-16) SB Riley Vs #2 Michael DeLaPena (33-4) Merrillville This group looks to conclude with a Duneland conference battle of DeLaPena and Moran. This two have wrestled previously with DeLaPena winning 7-2 but that was regular season. Moran gets the top seeded draw as the winner in Crown Point after avenging a sectional loss to Austin Line he came back and won 6-1 for the regional. DeLaPena will likely be a man on a mission after dropping the Calumet title 3-0 to Rickie Rodriguez and I like him to advance over Moran. Bryton Goering did give a valiant effort in the Rochester semis against Davis, losing just 2-0 but I don't think DeLaPena will overlook him. Mat 3 #1 Drew Hildebrandt (31-0) Penn Vs Zachary Lovell (14-5) Hobart Lucas Finger (25-6) Lowell Vs Donovan Johnson (34-6) Logansport I think this draw worked out pretty well for Hildebrandt who is the decisive favorite as the only ranked wrestler for this SS as well as a number 3 state ranking. Hildebrandt's 18-6 effort over Davis gave him the Logan title. Finger and Johnson will still be a pretty even battle and is certainly a match to keep an eye on. Ill take the Penn grappler over Johnson who I like to best finger after a good 12-5 effort against a tough Miller in Rochester. Mat 4 #3 Rickie Rodriguez (31-2) Hammond Morton Vs #10 Zane DeVault (19-9) Plymouth Tommy Ordway (24-7) South Newton Vs #6 Austin Line (32-8) Valparaiso Calumet champ Rodriguez leads the way for the final group and will be a tough out for these other three, although it won't be a cakewalk with possibly two SS ranked wrestlers in his way. But with losses to just Hildebrandt and Colton Cummings (106), Rodriguez looks to be in top form. I think a battle tested Line will give him a tough quarters match but I still see the Morton wrestler in the semis. Mat 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 semis My four state berths 1. Drew Hildebrandt 2. Michael DeLaPena 3. Rickie Rodriguez 4. Dustin Miller I like the Penn wrestler here and a lot of that has to do with that undefeated record with a tough Penn schedule. He pinned Rodriguez in a previous match in the third period but I think it will be a good semifinal. DeLaPena benefits from avoiding those two but should have his hands full with still undefeated Miller.
  6. Mat 1 #6 Kory Cavanaugh (27-7) Penn Vs #9 Trey McCartney (32-5) Benton Central #3 Alex Bautista (26-5) Hanover Central Vs #4 Collin Poynter (32-6) Portage An absolute grind in this section of the bracket as Cavanaugh finds himself with a tough road to make the semis after winning the Rochester regional. If I were to predict I'd take Bautista over Cavanaugh for the state berth. These two wrestled previously with Bautista taking the match 10-1. Poynter is a game 2 seed losing to Tylor Triana of Hobart 9-0 for the regional title. He should give Bautista at least a reasonable match. Mat 2 #8 Jon Anderson (44-1) Lafayette Jefferson Vs Malachi Greene (32-9) Triton Felipe Godinez (27-12) Merrillville Vs #5 Ian Dembowski (39-6) Valparaiso This group features Logan regional champ Jon Anderson who basically pinned his way to a regional title in dominant fashion. He's likely to get Dembowski, who fell in just 40 seconds to top ranked Colton Cummings at the Crown Point regional final. Anderson doesn't have many common opponents with many of the top ten but his regional dominance even at Logan has me leaning towards his victory. Mat 3 #1 Colton Cummings (37-1) Lowell Vs Angel Perez (20-10) Hammond Morton Joey Zahl (24-9) South Bend Adams Vs Ryne Webb (27-12) Rensselaer Central Cummings clearly stands out as not only the top ranked wrestler but the only of the four to be ranked at all. Logan regional runner up Ryne Webb is probably the most unheralded runner up in the entire 106 field and should be tested by Zahl. Mat 4 #2 Tylor Triana (34-3) Hobart Vs Jose Diaz (29-10) Wheeler Charlie Randall (29-4) West Lafayette Vs #7 Jared Kazmierczak (34-7) SB St Joseph Triana should be able to break through the 4-1 matchup but Diaz had wrestled pretty well and if not for a sectional/regional that included Dembowski, Cummings, and Bautista...I think Diaz could've been at least third if not runner up at some other regionals. Lost just 10-6 to Dembowski in the semis of the CP regional. All three Triana losses come to Cummings. Randall v Kazmierczak should be a good match between wrestlers on opposite sides of the geographical semistate who have not seen each other. In the Logan regional Webb over Randall 10-1 and Randall beat McCartney 7-0. Mat 1 v 2 and 3 v 4 for the semis My four state berths 1. Cummings 2. Bautista 3. Triana 4. Anderson These are four very good wrestlers but Cummings is just plain tough and is probably a decisive favorite. Bautista and Anderson should be a good match and will test my theories. Triana gets a tough semis draw here and I believe would've been second but it's all about how the cards fall an his finals berth goes through Cummings. This is one of those weight classes where I could be busted from the first round. Poynter will test Bautista and Hildebrandt will certainly be looking for revenge but I'm sticking to my guns.
  7. Any insight on the 9-8 squeaker in the 195 semis between Eric Dunten and upstart Tristin Anglin of CC? Seems like a barnburner
  8. @ Crown Point in the 113 class. CP's Johnathan Moran scores a 6-1 victory over Austin Line of Valparaiso to win the regional after Line won the sectional 4-3.
  9. Adam Dodson (John Glenn) defeats Darden Schurg of Crown Point 10-8. Sets up a championship match of undefeateds as Dodson will face top ranked Drew Hughes of Lowell
  10. First impressions @ Crown Point. 106: Crown Point sectional sweep in the quarters. Jose Diaz(29-8) of Wheeler downs top LaPorte seed David Taylor(23-8) of Michigan City 9-0. 113: CP sectional again with a clean 4-0 sweep. 120: No big surprises here. Lucas Major(19-15)of New Prairie able to score the first LP sectional win over Avery Blake (26-15) of Kankakee Valley. 126: No surprises. Excited for a second round tilt with Chris Trent(32-7) of New Prairie facing Valparaiso's Tristan Dembowski(32-9) First class where seeds hold to form as the two sectionals split 2-2. 132: Denver Smith (17-22) of KV scores a huge upset by beating LP champ Shamus Troy(16-10) of LaPorte. Props to my KV wrestlers showing up and getting it done (shameless plug). Dee Collins (20-12) of Michigan City able to prevent the CP sweep by pinning Ryan Bottos(18-14) of Lowell. 138: First weight class that is sure to have a CP sect Vs LP sect championship. Notable win - Jared Rafferty(25-17) of Valpo scores a 10-7 win over Devon Becker(24-8) of John Glenn. 145: Another 2-2 split. Nice win for Bryant Hunsberger(21-12) of LaVille over Danny Wallace(24-8) of Hebron by a 5-4 margin. 152: CP sect dominates three of the four matches. Notable match: battle of Luke. Top LP seed Luke Zelenika (16-9) of Chesterton scores a razor thin 6-5 win over Luke Solomey(30-12) of KV. Watch out for this KV soph next year, he comes from a good wrestling family I look for him to make a nice jump next year.
  11. Johnathan Moran of Crown Point. Last week he lost 4-3 to Austin Line of Valparaiso in the Crown Point sectional. Those two looked primed to meet again with both being the only two ranked (SS) wrestlers in that weight.
  12. 126: There are just two ranked wrestlers (SS) in this field and perhaps unfortunately for both wrestlers those two would meet in the semis if the rankings hold. CP winner Tristan Dembowski(31-9) #5 SS of Valparaiso and Chris Trent(31-7) of New Prairie should create some fireworks. And you can be sure Trent will be looking to make a statement after suffering a pin to Zach Wells(21-8) of LaPorte in the LP championship. The other semifinal carries another good matchup if Wells and Noah LaMore(22-7) of Crown Point make it out of the first round. Ill take Wells because of his impressive pin over Trent. In the 3rd place match I'm going with LaMore, but I this appears to be an even match on paper so it's an educated guess at best. In the finals Ill take Dembowski over Wells.
  13. Oh the 120 class: I see this as a pretty clear cut two horse race. Jack Tolin(20-3) of Chesterton heads a field which includes fellow DAC foe Austin Torres(23-6) of Crown Point. Ranked 6th and 9th in the Mville semistate, respectively, this should be a very balanced match. I'm taking Tolin purely for the sake of prediction. Torres is a senior and Tolin just a soph so we will see if the youngster can keep a great season alive with a regional crown. The fight for 3rd place will be an interesting battle. Zach Galvan(21-14) of Lowell has a seemingly tough draw in senior Steven Smith of North Judson(19-5). I have to wonder about schedule strength here but I like how Smith wrestled to get to the championship, beating a 20 win wrestler from Michigan City for a berth in the sectional final. Ill take Smith over Galvan in a close one. Avery Blake gets by his first round matchup Lucas Major(18-15) and in the 3rd place match Ill take Blake over Smith in a close one. Watch out for Galvan however, who could easily prove me wrong a snatch up that 3rd place. Only time will tell.
  14. 113 should be an interesting class. Austin Line(30-7) #6 SS of Valparaiso won the CP sectional by edging out Johnathan Moran(21-6) #7 SS of CP by a margin of 4-3. What makes this an interesting lineup is the LP sectional had itself an upset when Kyle Garouette(25-4) of New Prairie was upset 7-5 by upstart frosh Skyler Gomez(7-14) of LaPorte. Gomez got himself a tough matchup though with Lucas Finger(23-5) of Lowell. I see that going Finger's way. Garouette now faces Moran and while it will be a tough match I think Moran knocks him out in what will be a marquee first round matchup. Junior Josh Jensen(17-15) of Chesterton claimed the LP title and got himself a pretty tough matchup first round with Jack Walton(16-4) of Andrean. This match is another doozy but I'm gonna take the champ to hold it down. Finger over Jensen for third and I like Line to claim the regional.
  15. Oh man I deleted a whole preview by hitting an errant button, that's what I get for using my phone. Will complete my preview later. Any other thoughts on this sectional?
  16. Not a ton of talk on here about this Regional. This is my local sectional being a Jasper County resident and all. Here's my take 106: I see a rematch of the Crown Point Sectional here as Colton Cummings(34-1) of Lowell will likely face Valparaiso grappler Ian Dembowski(37-5) with Cummings the decisive favorite. WATCH OUT wrestler(s): Alex Bautista(24-4) sports an impressive #10 state and #3 semistate ranking. Unfortunately for Alex and the rest of the fans we won't get to see a rematch of the sectional semis he had with Dembowski who is a couple slots behind him in both rankings. That is of course unless be can pull off a big upset. Should be interesting. I like David Taylor(23-8) of Michigan City to round out the fourth to make it out. Rookie mistake hit the post button. Ill continue in a reply which will connect to this of course
  17. Good stuff..I will be listening in from Wheatfield
  18. Controversial ending there for sure...still Andrew continues to make us Hoosiers proud.
  19. Not a conference I want to see go. These teams were about the same size and I enjoyed the competition living in the northern section of this conference near Tri County and West Central. Doesn't make sense to me... West Central is my pick
  20. Speaking on small school conferences, I am sad to see the Midwest conference go. I live in the back yard of the conference with West Central about 20 mins away although I am a Kankakee Valley grad. I thought these 8 teams would stick together, it doesn't have the enrollment disparity that the Northern State conference has. Feel especially bad for South Newton...they got hosed.
  21. I guess the problem with the Merrillville SS site is that there are no big schools between the Duneland/Penn group in the north and these schools near Lafayette. What would be the best HS site if we could just flat out choose? Crown Point already has the sects and Regis, so maybe there...?
  22. How was the tourney at LaPorte...nice venue to host this monster tourney? Does LP hold any invites or Super duals?
