  1. How are ticket sales going? What size of crowd is being anticipated?
  2. Prairie Heights Middle School finished up their season yesterday at the NECC tournament. Team went 14-1 (10-0 NECC) in duals, with wins over: Westview, Fremont, Angola, Lakeland, Garrett, Churubusco (2), Central Noble, West Noble, Fairfield, Eastside, Blackhawk, Edgewood, and Whitko. Only loss coming from Maple Creek. PH won the West Noble (Frank Iddings) Invite over East Noble and Wawasee. PH also claimed the NECC tourney title this weekend over Garrett and Angola.

  4. We have used Rudis the last couple years. Have also used 3x Gear prior to that
  5. Can't remember what time the doors open for fans tomorrow. Who can help?
  6. Gelen Robinson from Lake Central a few years back, wrestling, football, track
  7. I assume kunkle and leffers at least play football and possibly schoeff as well from cn....not sure if moore does anything else
  8. How many (or which wrestlers) of this year's state qualifiers are multi-sport athletes as compared to wrestling only? I believe specializing was brought up earlier this year, but was interested to know what type of percentages we are at.
  9. My favorite from last year were all the bed sheets being used to block-off sections on the lower level
  10. Thank you for the kind words about Jed. He truly is a class act. Win or lose, he is always humble. He comes from a pretty good pedigree. For those of you who do not know Jed's wrestling history, here is a snap shot of what he accomplished: Career record of 179 wins 31 losses 4x All-NECC 3x NECC Champ, 1x runner-up 3x Sectional Champ, 1x runner-up 2x Regional Champ, 2x runner-up 4x Semi State Qualifier, 2x Placer (2nd, 3rd) 2x State Qualifier 3x Al Smith Placer (2nd, 5th, 7th) 3x War on the Wabash Champion Undefeated in middle school
  11. Had a couple about dropping or changing weight classes. Those were the ones that stuck out to me the most. One about starting duals at 106 and run through 285, without drawing for starting weight. Some about what is to be enforced at weigh-ins. Just a couple I could remember. Several others that seem a little our there. Ill see if I can go back through and copy/paste.
  12. I agree with @jetwrestling. Team State duals is a great way for schools to showcase their kids/programs against schools on a more level playing ground. I think it has contributed to a few more kids coming out for us. Although I'm at a small schooI, I fully support having a single class individual state finals and hope Indiana keeps it that way. Having said that, a classed individual state tournament would however, I think, help grow the sport for small schools, much like team state probably has. Couple more kids come out for wrestling, more kids advance, more kids place, and possibly a state champ here or there? Maybe more college possibilities? I see the upside to it. 13. I will go with Profit. Not sure how miased Hickman and Peele were in same bracket
  14. 106- Moran, Cruz, Diaz, Reagan 113- Diaz, Moreno, Tolin, Hegadus 120- Triana, Peele, Hickman, Schuller 126- Poynter, DeMien, Gomez, Kelley 132- Bryant, Betourne, Brooks, Luna 138- Rumph, Dembowski, Davis, Risner 145-McIntosh, Douglas, LaPlace, Ellis 152-Lamore, Calhoun, Washington, Ruble 160- Lemley, Kasch, Adkins, Snook 170-Fattore, Crary, Traficanti, Bates 182- Girgenti, Potoskey, Chaffee, Torres 195- Davison, Fowler, Ford, Hurley 220- Streck, Thomas, Kidwell, Lewis 285- Pokorney, McWilliams, Crider, Trent In order, but mostly guesses though. Not from da' region and not familiar with some of the names. If some seem off, it's probably because they are.
  15. The alternate is the first person beat out by the eventual champion at regionals. If a team has to scratch a wrestler, that team should contact the alternate's school as well as the semi-state tournament director. (At least that is the way it's supposed to be done at the regional level. My 195 was out this weekend. I contacted the alternate's coach and the Regional site and everything went according to plan. We also were the alternate for another weight because we placed 5th at sectional. He went to regionals just in case someone missed weight, didn't pass skin check, etc.
