  1. As did I. His ultimate overtime match with Suter had me on the edge of my seat.
  2. I was wondering if anyone would point out the Schoettle match. His running for the last 10 seconds in a close match bothered me..
  3. And don't forget Tanner Adams who likely could have placed top 4 if not for his injury at semi state will be back next year.
  4. I disagree. Harvey and Mappes both excited me more than Bradley did in the championship matches
  5. Who are some studs that weren't talked about much coming into the tournament but came out impressing you? 120 -Adam Garcia. Beat Welch convincingly and correct me if I'm wrong, but of I remember correctly, he was one either way call away from getting a takedown on Todd to get 3rd place. 132 - Luke Blanton. I expected McHugh to beat him first round. Instead, he pins McHugh and beats Neal Molloy before falling to... 132 - Todd Batt. Who saw him being under the lights? 152 - Luke Kriech. Got through the tough side of the bracket and had a very close match with Bradley in the championships. 285 -Brandon Daniels. He might be the biggest on this list. Despite weighing around 215 all year, he bumps up to heavyweight and if not for ONE mistake against Suter, he places in the top 4 with a legitimate shot in he championships. But despite that loss, he wrestles back beating Bernard and getting a pin for 5th place. Congrats to all of them!!
  6. Everybody that says James will be closest, do you not remember Phillips beating James 4-0?
  7. Biberstine impressed me last week and he continued to last night. The 220 bracket will be a fun first Saturday round.
  8. I have seen Boston wrestle before... It didn't look like his normal matches. However, this is the first time I watched Micic and was very impressed.
  9. I haven't heard something that funny in a while. But the funniest part is that it's true.
  10. Blanton pinning McHugh. Though the match could have gone either way, who expected a fall?
  11. My GPS has us there at 3:59. Is that early?
  12. By the time I wake up tomorrow, it will be less than 12 hours away... I'll have a tough time getting to sleep tonight.
  13. I'd love for Phillips to be able to wrestle, but if he already pulled out and Clayton was told he'd be able to wrestle, it'd be unfair to take Clayton out.
  14. "Oh by the way, Clayton, we lied! You don't really get to finish out your senior year with a state run. Phillips is actually wrestling, he just wanted to throw Crume and everyone else off. Hope you understand."
  15. Never said Moser wasn't good. But he has LaHue first round. Don't see him getting passed that one, though it is possible.
  16. James, Glogouski, Phillips, Shurg, and LaHue are all pretty good in my opinion.
  17. Upset we don't get to see Crume and Phillips tomorrow night, I was looking forward to that one more than any other match of possibly the whole tournament. But I'm happy for Clayton Campbell, must have made his day when he heard he'd be wrestling at state! Good luck to Phillips in college.
  18. That would be the greatest celebration ever!
  19. Luke Welch at 120... I could see him pulling it out over Campbell and then Todd.
  20. Wow, that's upsetting! My great uncle just passed away yesterday without any warning, so I can imagine how he must be feeling. I hope he and his whole family are alright and I'll be keeping them in my prayers.
  21. I actually thought about that too after I had thought about it some more. Jeremiah Harvey from what I heard was just a football stud that started wrestling junior year and won state senior year. While that's true, 145 and 152(The two middle weights) are generally more more talent spread. Take Tsirtsis out of 145 and it would be a toss-up as to who wins. 152 could have a bunch of people come out as champions. 138, while Jackson is the clear favorite, there are MANY others that are fighting for the 2nd and 3rd spots. Whereas, like many have pointed out, no one stands a chance of coming close to Boston, Micic, or Cash this year. Maybe it's just this year, but I think the middle weights are less clear cut than 106 and 113. But anyway, this is about Crume and Phillips, so this will be my last comment on the tough weight matter.
