  1. If he beats Dakota Thacker this weekend at Bellmont, then I would be more inclined to believe this could happen. But I also think Mr. Kral and Mr. Johnson will have something to say about that. Kobe is a helluva an athlete and is learning by leaps and bounds, he might be one year away, but it's gonna be a fun 195 weight class this year either way.
  2. Forte yes, Macri Maybe, Kral Maybe, Woods not gonna happen. He is a very good wrestler, but I believe he has lost 2 close matches to T. Johnson at Elkhart Memorial this year. But your point is well taken. Possibly 6-7 Individual State Champs could come out of the M'ville SS.
  3. LOL, that would be further away with my keen panther vision, you might have to sit a little closer with your Hooker vision.
  4. Get em' Lee! 8) LOL, I mean Coach Lee Lukaszka
  5. Sounds like a man of experience, that has done this before when his favorite SS was weak. If any of us northerners need any tips on how to accomplish the said rant above, we will private message you.
  6. Penn vs. Mishawaka match is cancelled.
  7. Why would you even post something like this? Unless you are on his team, or part of the family and know that he is sick, or injured. Don't degrade a great athletes skills and integrity by saying that he would duck a match against another excellent wrestler. Very immature statement!
  8. Cashe Quiroga vs. Josh Harper, I think it was 2008 at the Al Smith. Cashe bumped up. The place was packed and going NUTS!
  9. Very good points. I really admire their program, It is our nature to always root for the underdog. And my post was earlier was mean as a compliment, not to degrade. Hope nobody took it that way. From a message I received I guess Yorktown will Wrestle Franklin this coming weekend, so I will get my wish. Great job Tigers!
  10. I agree with this. You can only be a big fish in a little pond for so long. If their excellent program really wants to see where they stand, I would love to see them bump up. Maybe the ISHWA can adopt the same bump up rules, as the IHSAA did for Football. Just a thought. I would really like to see Yorktown do that at Disney and for Team State. It would be great for Wrestling. I like their program, I would love to see how they do against the BIG DOGS. Isn't EMD considered 1A or 2A technically?
  11. My guess, would be the started it the final round early because of the pending weather forcast.? What fantastic matches all around. Nobody will every be pleased 100% of the selected 8 teams. But all I can say is that I was glued to track wrestling watching for several hours.
  12. That was a hard fought match and showed some real power and balance by Penn.. Now maybe all the Cathedral posters will admit they were beat by a better team and not make excuses. It gets a little old.
  13. You got me, what a BIG Typo, to funny, I am dating myself there. Yes, Floyd all the way!
  14. OK, to clarify. "Pound for Pound" means the 1 best wrestler in all weight classes combined. Not the top 5, 10 etc. Roger Mayweather is considered the best in boxing pound for pound. So with that said. Give me your BEST Having viewed some matches at this year's all Smith. Mr. Robinson is a BEAST. That's my pick.
  15. With the utmost respect we can debate this until our faces turn blue. The defending champ is the champ until somebody else proves otherwise. And it is WELL deserved, Perry has been one of the most dominant and consistent teams in recent history. When Penn gets there shot, and I hope they do, they will have to prove what most people are thinking this year. I am so looking forward to this match. Every have a safe Merry Christmas! Panthers predication Penn by 6.
  16. Like you said, we will see come January 4th, let's hope.
  17. This team is sending a message to other State teams. LOOKOUT! Portage is a SOLID team that I believe barely lost to WC and Merrillville, and beat CP. Very impressive!
  18. Any updates on the Penn Duals??
  19. I don't care what coach or program. Big or small, experienced coach, or rookie, No situation, at any meet, and especially the state Finals gives you the right act like that. PERIOD! Act like you been there. Set an example in victory and defeat!
