SECT is one thing regional and ss is another. cream rises to the top nothing but solid wrestlers now. I think S.Dearborn got most of their team through fcs yesterday, congrats to them on a sect. champ.

In this situation which comes up almost every year. Conf. wrestling cancelled the week before sec. I wish the school had a policy that we are not providing bus service but if the parents of the kids want to take them they could, but the school is not responsible for the teams wellbeing. Maybe a waiver the parent can sign to release school from liability. Just a thought

Agree with norm wrestlers are made in the practice room as long as the coach moves them around to different partners, you need tall lanky partners and short stalky ones. as many different partners as possible even if the weights are 20 pounds different helps the lighter kid with strength and usually the heavier kid with speed. If all practice partners are equal that is. Champions are made on their day off.

Well heck they shouldn't wrestle in this one if we already know the winner on the last one. Good coaches teach good wrestlers how to overcome their obstacles, C.R.=Good Coach. -
Doesnt shooting in on a leg provoke wrestling every time? If neither wrester betters their position in 5- 10 sec, its a stalemate unless both wresters are working hard to better it. As was stated would love to see agressive refs on the mat. Refs could push the action but most don't. when you allow the wrestlers to wrestle they tend to get lazy and complacent until the last 15 sec.IMO hateto say it but its why i love freestyle no fleeing have to win 2 out of 3periods atleast pushes the action the last 15 sec. of each period.
