  1. Then, we have to ask ourselves what is the best for the sport? Hate to end up like the IOC just cause we HAVE to have wrestle-backs...
  2. Somewhat agree. If we institute wrestle-backs at regionals and Semi-State, then the argument is why not State? It would do more if we kept the current system and added wrestle-backs at the State level. Then, #2 is the true #2. Cost is an issue. No other sport (to my knowledge) has ANY sort of double elimination. (Not sure about other states)
  3. can someone please clear this up for me? What is the diff?
  4. 63-12 Hinshaw - dec Beachy - dec Miller - pin
  5. RTC will continue tonight with HOF coach Berry Humble!
  6. SA had their 100th win (With Coach Myers at the Helm) in the 2010 year and Coach Myers was still 27 at that time. SA had their 150th win (With Coach Myers at the Helm) in the 2012 year and Coach Myers was still 29 at that time. Very impressive for a 1A School.
  7. Had a good RTC last night with new Head Coach Barry Humble, Josh "Kimbo", and Jim Marbach. Need more kids.
  8. I will look into the age. New Coach named for SA. Berry Humble
  9. * Coach Eric Myers' first year at SAHS as HS Varsity Wrestling Coach was the 2005-2006 season. * SA Wrestling has been in existence since the early 1970's and in 1986 the IHSAA changed the criteria to take the top four (4) wrestlers from each semi-state to go to state, with 16 total state finalists going to the individual state finals. * During Coach Eric Myers eight (8) years as SA HS Wrestling Coach, the Starfires achieved a win-loss record of 165 and 41 losses. This equates to an unbelievable 80% winning percentage. * Coach Myers is recognized as the youngest Indiana HS Varsity Wrestling coach in IHSAA history to win 100 matches and 150 matches. * SA Won five(5) ACAC Conference Championships during his 8 years at South Adams, SA had won zero (0) conference championships before that time. * South Adams has been ranked No. 1 in the State in Class A many. many weeks since the IHSWCA started to recognized teams in Three Classes and are recognized as a premier wrestling programs in the State of Indiana. * SA finished the season ranked 17th overall in the entire State of Indiana, all classes, in 2011. * SA has been three (3) time Jay County Sectional Runner-up during these 8 years. SA had never finished in the top three in the Sectional in the previous 30 years of SA wrestling. * SA has qualified 50% of their wrestlers (7 of 14) for the Ft. Wayne Semi-state several times during Coach Myers coaching helm. SA has had six wrestlers in the "ticket match at semi-state two different time during these eight years, a coaching and wrestling accomplishment only expected by "big time" wrestling programs and coaches. * SA has qualified 14 wrestlers for the IHSAA State tournament in Coach Myers Eight (8) years at South Adams, SA had qualified a total of five (5) wrestlers in the previous 20 years. * SA has had six (6) IHSAA State medalists in these 8 years and had only achieved two (2) medalists in the previous 20 years. As you can see, Eric Myers is an example of excellence in all ways!!! It was Coach Myers decision to resign and as he has stated in the local nwespapers, his wish is to coach and teach at the same school. SA has not offered him a teaching job yet so thus the current situation. The School is taking applications. send to; The Athletic Director (Jason Arnold) at jarnold@southadams.k12.in.us
  10. Does anybody have a list of the RTC's with location/day of the week/time of day?
  11. follow the money.... This is it...period. I took my son to the Big Ten Championships last year at Purdue. At best Mackey was 1/2 full. Tickets for all 3 sessions (the good seats) was like 40$. You can not get better wrestling for that price. I DVR all the college wrestling and watch when i can. I did the same thing for the olympics. I am not condoning the IOC, but where is the support from all the fans that are "outraged"? Indiana only has 7or 8 schools that actually have wrestling...I don't hear anyone complaining about that. What are you doing? Complaining? Do something!
  12. What are the chances of getting a link to the rankings also? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!!
  13. Great Clip! Not a boiler, but great clip!
