The IHSAA website shows that the Zionsville Team Regional is postponed till Thursday. Others should follow. -
The IHSAA website shows that the Zionsville Team Regional has been postponed to Thursday. I have to believe that many others will be postponed also because schools are out and roads are closed.

from an article in the South Bend Tribune: In addition to theater, Roberts also competed on the wrestling team at the prep school and approached the sport ?in a cerebral way,? said Coppens, who remembered that while Roberts may not have been the strongest kid, he was always smarter than his opponent. Roberts compiled a 24-3 record during his junior and senior years, going 12-1 as a senior. ?He knew exactly how he could get in trouble and avoided all of those possibilities,? Coppens said. ?He tried to make the other wrestler wrestle the way he wanted him to wrestle." Not sure about the regional champ. Athletic participation is mandatory at LaLumiere. Sadly, I do not think they have a wrestling program at this time.

It depends on your definition of elite. They are young now and will be very good. They had 12 underclassmen wrestling Varsity at the NCC tourney and finished second.

Munster 82, Andrean 0: The Mustangs won eight matches by pin to blank the 59ers. Santo Marciano (112), Aurelio Medina (119), Jordan Cooper (125), Zach Slosser (130), Mike Briette (140), Darius Flores (145), Tyler Adams (152) and Luis Barnhardt (160) won by fall. Bishop Noll 36, Hammond 36: The Warriors won the match on NHSF criteria. Jalyn Jones (125) and Cesar Avila (160) won by pin for Noll.

So a 200 lb. wrestler is only allowed to lose 3 lbs. per week? They can easily lose that in 1 day!

The football weight was from August. Most of it was lost before wrestling season started.

Just about every wrestler is cutting weight this time of year, except the heavyweights. It is up to the coaches and parents to make sure the wrestlers are healthy.
