Timmy something or other, he qualified for regionals then was semi-state alternate, kid from central got injured and Timmy got to wrestle and punched his ticket to state.

I think all the vote in teams should have a small tournament to see who gets in. I would watch it

I have 41 Evansville central and 15 castle.

Also a 100 bananas MD and Gibson have more advance then all of castle sectional.

What are peoples thoughts on sectional as a whole and not just one weight class?

MCWC in Evansville, IN. The place is highly recommended and is a great place for kids to learn all aspects of wrestling.

Note: The Reed Egli - Kyler West match was a strange one.  The referee did just fine all night with I believe only once a coach questioned him, until that final match.  The scoring seemed to make no sense and no one could figure out where the points were coming from.  Initially it appeared West had the first TD awarded, but Egli had a whizzer and there never seemed to be control.  Egli broke away and 1 point was awarded.  We looked at the board and saw 2-1, but then noticed it was 2-1 MD.  A few exchanges and a roll through and somehow 2 back points were awarded but it didn't seem like there was control from either wrestler.  I believe the score was 5-4 Egli when he got a cradle locked up and turned West.  The fall was very quick and it appeared West's left shoulder was on top of Egli's left.  There wasn't a ton of arguing after, but seemed to be a lot of head scratching, from both sides.  Maybe someone on the other side of the gym saw it differently, but it just seemed weird. 

@MDFAN I guess Egli caught West. If this would of gone the whole match surely West would of won. That is how it goes correct?

That hurts chances for Booneville being sectional champs, so close last year. Congrats to Sutton for signing with Midway.

I am guessing Sutton transferred to Castle and is no longer at Boonville?

Trying to get Middle school some more matches under there belt right before season, does anyone know of middle school tournaments happening in January?

What is the reasons for not running it two days? Friday night have the pool play, and then Saturday morning you can have wrestle backs, semis, and then finals. Thoughts are it makes Saturday shorter, most teams traveling come up friday night anyways, and you can still have wrestle backs for teams to get three matches.
