WCWC Coach
The Boilers travel to OSU tonight and then are at home against Illinois on Sunday and they have Gelen listed on their probable line up!! I will be very anxious to see if they will use give him the nod over Kral.
MattM
That usually considered baptism by fire if he's being thrown in to a Big 10 match against OSU right of the get go as a true freshman. However, it looks like OSU currently listed HWT is struggling. I hope Gelen does see some success on the mat this year. base

The Guru
Robinson won 5-3 over the smallish Ray Gordon. Understandably, he looked a little gassed but, the athleticism was impressive. He can knock out and go behind faster than half the guys in the lineup.
WCWC Coach
He was definitely gassed yesterday against the big kid from Illinois but my God is he BIG. Wow, quite a difference in the last year. He is going to do great stuff if he sticks with it no doubt.

He is going to do great stuff if he sticks with it no doubt. In High School Brooks Black was the #2 HWT recruit in the nation two years ago behind Adam Coon. He didn't get the win but showed he was competitive with only a short preparation time. If Gelen is able to hang with Black, who had a full redshirt year, he should be able to do the same with several of the younger HWT in college right now. base
I feel like Gelen probably never really had to work much to get out from bottom in HS. That may be his biggest adjustment in college, having a skilled Big10 caliber big man holding you down when you're inexperienced. That said, he is massive and athletic and I hope he sticks with it
