  1. If memory serves me Jon Goldsberry lost to Matt Hasbrook in the state finals. Hasbrook went on to play football/wrestle at Michigan St and eventually transferred to Notre Dame, where he played football.
  2. Corey Haddad ‏@CoreyHaddad 10 hours ago Griffin Parriott of New Prague, MN will announce his commitment to Purdue tomorrow. #B1Gwrestle #d1wrestle According to twitter this appears to be happening.
  3. http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Wrestling/Features/2015/January/22/NCAA-releases-first-Div-I-Coaches-Panel-Rankings#.VMF3HPhUTzc Released today. 6 - Boilers Ranked 3 - Hoosiers Ranked
  4. I found this on the Purdue Message boards: One of the site editors posted it. OK, here's what I was told by football sports information director Matt Rector, who asked Darrell Hazell: "Gelen will be taking part in all offseason football related activities in addition to joining the wrestling team." Football winter weight-lifting starts Jan. 15. So I would assume that football responsibilities are No. 1 and if they don't overlap with wrestling, he can do wrestling stuff. ________________________________________________________________________________________________
  5. Last I heard, Willis walked on at IU after transferring from UIndy playing football.
  6. Since 1980 - Cathedral No Order after Ellis 1.Lance Ellis Vinny Corsaro Brandon Wright Dan Pleak Jason Terry HM Sakon brothers, Hasbrook, Tyler Willis
  7. http://www.ihsaa.org/portals/0/Flip%20Book/2012-13/wr/index.html#?page=26 Not sure if that will work but it is a link to the scoring format.
  8. I don't think I can hold onto the lead but glad I could win the Semi-State portion. Please send my check to address listed on my entry sheet. Thanks.
  9. 285 – Andrew Geers dec. Tyler Kral, 5-3 Kral lost to the true freshmen in the wrestle offs.
  10. 285 PU 6 Sir Alex catches him to start of the match 125 PU 3 Cam rides the momentum for an upset 133 OSU 3 Cashe falls just short 141 OSU 4 Rematch Steiber wins again 149 OSU 4 Rematch Paddock wins again 157 PU 3 Griffin comes close to major 165 PU 3 Fat Pat gets the Win 174 OSU 3 Close match but Kissel loses in the last second 184 OSU 3 Close but not enough 197 PU 3 Atwood in a SV thriller to Win the Match! Purdue 18 - 17 This is more of a hopeful outcome then a prediciton. Boiler Up!
  11. 125 PU 3 133 PU 3 141 PU 3 149 IU 3 157 IU 6 165 IU 4 174 PU 3 184 IU 4 197 PU 6 285 IU 6 IU 23 Purdue 18 Toss ups are 149 and 174. Bonus points will be the key to victory, as it could be 5-5 match wins. Should be a close and exciting match. Prediction assumes that Raley and Jackson are not wrestling.
  12. Boilers looked good. Can't wait til Archuletta comes back to see the full potential.
  13. Willis Vs Quiroz or Willis Vs. McMurray or McMurray Vs. Quiroz Wright Vs. Eppert was a great match last year.
  14. 103 Brooks, Phillips, Venezia 112 Beck, Garcia, Harvey 119 Nelson, Hawkins, Kieffer 125 Wright, Kieffer, Wisler 130 Tsirstis, Mullins, Rothgeb 135 Norton, Guerra, Berryman 140 Porras, Schwartz, Brady 145 Surma, Roach, Sims 152 Stahl, Bennet, Tonte 160 Willis, Vlahos, McMurray 171 Duckworth, Dale, Striggle 189 Atwood, Johnson-Jones, Stevenson 215 Lentz, Cleveland, Buchanon 285 Travis, Thomas, Meyer
  15. Hey Charlie, Why did you leave Cathedral? We need you back.
  16. Cathedral looked great last night came up a little short, Buchannan was recovering from the flu. I don't think the match would have been close if Brandon Wright, Blake Roytek, and Charlie McGinley were still on the team. I think if Perry and Cathedral wrestled four times this year it would come down to one match every time.
