jDub
Overall, looks like a "Good Job" is due to OnTheRise219 for bringing us the rankings this year. Just glancing over the rankings for each class it looks like they were pretty accurate as far as determining the top guys in the state, based on who made it to state. Haven't done the math to see what percentage of each class was correct with regard to advancement (it would be great if someone wants to do it and post it), but again, at a glance it looks pretty good. There are always upsets every year that obviously no one can predict. I wonder if the upsets are discounted in the calculation, how much closer are the rankings accuracy with regard to making it to state. Also curious to see how the final results of state compare to pre-state rankings. Any statistic guys up to calculating...?
MattM
One factors that throws some of the data off is when one ranked guy eliminates a lower ranked guy before state. It would still technically make the rankings correct, but it wouldn't look that way since as a result a few none ranked guys would move into their state spot. Overall, though I'd say the rankings were decent. Most of those who got eliminated were beaten someone else who was ranked in the top 20, and for the most part they are all within one or two move of each other. Thanks for that. Good job Indianamat and OTR. Considering there is roughly 320 schools that have wrestling programs you've done real well figuring it all out. Keep it up. Thanks. Y2CJ41
Not too shabby, 145lbs seemed to be one of the hardest weights to gauge the talent in since a lot of kids were on the anti-Tsirtsis diet.

Y2CJ41
My guess is probably 10% of the ticket round matches feature wrestlers that aren't ranked in the quarter bracket with probably another 10% of ranked wrestlers defeated by another ranked wrestler and 10% of the rankings where an unranked wrestler beats a ranked wrestler.
