porkrinder
Killer sectional. I'm a little bummed that I don't get to see the McCray-Hamilton rematch. I guess all those nights of buring "4-1" into Hamilton's forehead were a waste. His scars will heal. But, my broken dreams won't.
Y2CJ41
Maybe they can wrestle for the "true" sectional championship instead of having the class thing like they have now.

AJ
Did Kissinger beat Gilbert this year? Just wondering why Gilbert wouldnt be #1 seed.
Y2CJ41
No, Gilbert was at 119lbs most of the year. I guess Gilbert would be the #1 seed based on being the returning champ.
CoachBumgarnder
Well the seeding meeting tonight should go relatively quick then since Y2 has the first two seeds already locked in. Y2 can you also archive the poll results for last year sectionals on who was supposed to win?

If everyone let me seed the meet it would take less time and we could just enjoy the great food and b.s. all night long. I am pretty certain I get no more than 5 of those seeds wrong. I could go further, but have limited information from Concordia and North Side.

Boot
103: Busz, McKinley, Novy, Klickman 112: Gilbert, Ables, Kissinger, Burns 119: LeTourneay, McCray, Miller, Garman 125: Lee, Letourneau, Zehr, Lefever 130: Rothgeb, Moreay, Nix, Boggess 135: Norton, Delaney, Bays, Armstead 140: Beck, Thiel, Novy, Coonan 145: Lefever, Venderley, Schendel, Bailey 152: Timmerman, Delaney, Nicodemus, Weber 160: McCray, Lefever, Porter, Thompson 171: Hamilton, Striggle, Harris, Berghoff 189: Waikel, Sauders, Gibson, Siddons 215: Evans, Andis, Talamantes, Blaising 285: Eck, Brainard, Bobay, Getts With strong wrestleback performance I predict Bishop Dwenger as the close champ, with Carroll and Whitko very close, and Garrett slightly behind them. It's entirely possible for Dwenger to get 12 to regional with the brackets the way they are. Unless Carroll, Whitko, or Garrett get plenty of pins, techs, and majors I see Dwenger as the surprise sectional champ this weekend.
Y2CJ41
The last time a team out of this sectional advanced 12 to regional they went on to place in the top four in the state.
Boot
But now that the top 4 are advancing and there are 4 teams in this sectional that are significantly better than the others it should be significantly easier.
Y2CJ41
They advanced four to state back in 2004 when Columbia City advanced 12 to regional. It was also just as good as far as quality wrestlers. There were 22 state qualifiers either that year or in the next couple years in the top four of sectional that year. Boot
We'll just have to wait and see. I'm not saying it's likely, just possible with the draws that they could slip a lot of 3rd and 4th seeds in. They don't have many gaping holes in their lineup, so it should be interesting to see how it goes.

They don't have many gaping holes in their lineup, so it should be interesting to see how it goes. They got a lot of their seeds based on records. For instance at 152lbs, their kid is 28-3, but lost to the Columbia City 152lber, Kolten Coyle. Three or four other sectional participants beat Coyle, so they had a common opponent over Delaney, but somehow he still got the #2 seed. Wrestling SAC schools all year makes your record look pretty good.
