True Dat
Eckert beat Gilbert by throwing headlock with 3 seconds left. Gilbert had him on his back pinned the whole thrid period, but the ref never called it.
NavyGonzo
Eckert beat Gilbert by throwing headlock with 3 seconds left. Gilbert had him on his back pinned the whole thrid period, but the ref never called it. If you get thrown in a headlock with 3 seconds left, you definently don't deserve to win the match. 1oldwrestler
So Gilbert was ahead 8 - 5 when the headlock occurred? I'm guessing that it was a 4 pt move from the neutral position if there were only 3 secs left.
hacksaw
Gilbert had Eckert on his back for a considerable time and looked to be very close to the pin on several occasions but the referee was out of position. This is a normal position for many referees when the action is going from one side to the other. However from my position on the front row it appeared that Eckert was pinned several times. It happens. From the neutral position with about 10 seconds left, Gilbert up 8-4, Eckert did catch Gilbert with a headlock and earn 5 points. It didn't appear Gilbert was close to being pinned, but it was legitimate back points. I think it was a great lesson for everyone that "You have to wrestle for 6 minutes, not 5:50. KarlHungus
How is Hiple allowed to wrestle? Isn't he like 21? That would only make him 3 in dog years....
jddown
There is a chance that HN and Whitko may face each other at Luers Invite this weekend.
decbell1
How is Hiple allowed to wrestle? Isn't he like 21? Probably because he is a student at Huntington North High School and eligible to wrestle on the wrestling team. Leave the kid alone. I would assume that is why he can wrestle. Keep your inside info in Grant County and leave Huntington alone.
