cadet130
I apologize in advance if I forget anyone that represented our state yesterday in Iowa. Here is my recap... Jarred Brooks is on a terror. He beat the guys ranked (according to W.I.N.) 2nd and 5th in the nation. He went on to win the tournament in dominating fashion. This kid has one goal in sight and that is a Gold Medal on Feb. 20th. He sure has a heck of a knee slide, too! Jared McKinley is an animal. He placed 3rd losing to a very tough opponent. He won the close ones and you can tell that Perry is doing what needs to be done to remain an elite Indiana team. Their team represented Indiana well all tournament. Eric Roach repeated as PreSeason Nationals Champion. At 145 he won in dominating fashion. His non-stop, in your face wrestling takes people out of their game plan. Great job yesterday, Eric. Huge props go to my man Cheney Dale from McCutcheon. He lost his opening round match and rolled through the consolations winning 9 straight matches to claim 3rd place with a huge win over Florida's #1 ranked 171 lber for the bronze. He learned from his loss and tore it up. We didn't get out of there until about 11pm. It was a long day and a long drive back, but well worth it. Congrats Indiana boys. Hopefully someone can recap with some more results from the middle school results as well. I believe we had a champion at around the 75 pound weight class! Im guessing we have different opinions of a " good match" haha...I know they wrestled at the wrestle offs and it was under a 10 point match, but Angel could prolly score whenever he wanted

base
I think the preseason ranking have Jarred Brooks as the 12th 15th best 103 pounder in the STATE!! I think with his win at the preseason nationals, he has served notice that he should be ranked MUCH higher. This weight class (which so many want to do away with) is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in the state this year.
