Frank was in a car accident last week and is currently listed in critical condition, but improving.  Many people in NE Indiana know him and his son from many tournaments in the area.  Here is an article about him from the local newspaper.

Cromwell accident victim improving but still critical

Friends start a fund for donations to Iddings family

By BOB BUTTGEN (Created: Thursday, April 30, 2009 6:10 AM EDT)FORT WAYNE ? Frank Iddings, a Cromwell man who was seriously hurt in an Allen County traffic accident on April 23, is making some progress but is still listed in critical condition at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Iddings? condition has stabilized over the past couple of days, according to family members and friends.

Iddings was listed in critical condition Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman at Parkview Hospital.

Iddings? Chevrolet Tahoe truck was struck by an SUV driver who allegedly ran a stop sign on Franke Road in rural Allen County, at about 9 a.m. on April 23.

Friends have established a bank account for the Iddings family. He and his wife Joanne have three children. A long recovery period will be necessary for Iddings, who is an assistant football and wrestling coach for West Noble schools. His wife is a West Noble bus driver.

Donations for the Frank Iddings family can be taken to the Taper Lock Credit Union at 336 East Lake St., in Topeka, or mailed to Taper Lock Credit Union, P. O. Box 10, Topeka, IN 46571. Be sure to mark them for the ?Benefit Fund for Frank Iddings.?

Iddings has gone through multiple surgeries and more surgery may be necessary. He suffered a broken back, crushed ribs and other injuries. Doctors had to remove his spleen, and part of one of his legs had to be amputated.

Through a family friend, Joan Iddings offered this message to the community: ?Whenever you get a free moment, please say a prayer for Frank and our family. You may also feel free to stop by the hospital and spend some time with the family.?

Here is his obiturary from the newspaper.

CROMWELL ? On Wednesday, May 6, 2009, Frank Iddings Jr. entered Heaven to be with his Lord for eternity.

He was born April 19, 1969, to Franklin G. Sr. and Patricia (Keister) Iddings at the Naval Air Station in Albany, Georgia.

On June 30, 1990, he married Joan Senter who survives in Cromwell along with their children Mandi Lee, Megan Joan, and Derek Eddie, all at home. Other survivors include his brothers, Charley of Albion, Bryan (Dorothy) of LaOtto and Leonard (Ginger) of Idaho, and a sister Betty (Scott) Gamble of Albion.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, along with several aunts and uncles.

Frank graduated from Central Noble in 1987. During his school years, he was active in boxing, football, wrestling and bull riding.

From 1993-2005 he was a stock car driver at New Paris Speedway. He began his coaching career early in 2000 while coaching his children at T-ball. Most recently he was extremely involved with middle and high school football and wrestling. He loved ?his kids? and seeing them not always win, but grow and learn. But his greatest accomplishment was in June of 2006 when he gave his life to the Lord. Frank was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Ligonier, where he was a trustee. He often said his biggest regret in life was that he didn?t come to know the Lord sooner.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 10, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 709 Johnson Street in Ligonier.

Viewing will be Saturday, May 9, from noon to 3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Pastor Jimmy Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka.
