I would throw gill in at HWT and Watson in at 171. Also Lane and sandwith in at 215. There is a lot of talent in this semi-state and will represent the south well at state i believe! Maximus Decimus Meridius
Bluebolt/Nutsdad Do you guys or anyone else know how the semi-state brackets are paired up?? Based on what I see the Castle and Jeffersonville Regionals will be on one side. Is this correct or is there some kind of blind draw? Please explain it to me...... spiralride1
The IHSAA has the draw, but they are not released to coaches until Regionals are completed.
HoosierTrip
Did Nut get teched in 3 minutes??? Based on what I see the Castle and Jeffersonville Regionals will be on one side. Is this correct or is there some kind of blind draw? Please explain it to me...... I believe Spirialride is correct...the pairings are based on the finishers from each regional in finishing order. Admittedly I am not sure how the regionals are "paired" or if it is even considered or changes from bracket to bracket. If I could find my brackets from the last couple of years I could tell you a bit more clearly. I THINK last years brackets went something like this, TOTALLY from my blurry memory: A-1 vs D-4 D-2 vs A-3 A-2 vs D-3 D-1 vs A-4 B-1 vs C-4 C-2 vs B-3 B-2 vs C-3 C-1 vs B-4 A. Bloomington South B. Castle C. Jeffersonville D. Mooresville Y2 could possibly give a better explination as he is the Bracket Man...
theckman
You wouldn't have the 1st and 2nd place guy from the same semi-state in the same half-bracket. I think it would be more like: A1-D4 B2-C3 C2-B3 D1-A4 B1-C4 A2-D3 D2-C3 C1-B4 But that would be for just one weight class. Each weight class is different so the winner from the Bloomington regional, for example, wouldn't draw the 4th place from Mooresville everytime like you have. Plus, this being the first year for regional 4th's to go to semi-state, it's all new.
