Everytime you get your tit in a wringer, you do that. Why? Never mind; I know why. Just because you get caught talking from both sides of your mouth is no reason get personal. And that quote was from Indyshred, not me.

    Correct me if I'm wrong , but I thought that you have stated several times that its not state placing that colleges look at but National results. You think colleges care about small class placing? Sigh......never mind.....I give up.....you keep shooting yourself in the foot but ignore the pain. I promised myself I'd never post another thing on a class wrestling thread but I broke that promise. Guess I'm the one shooting themselves in the foot.

    Sorry..."probably" doesn't cut it. That's like me saying he probably would have sustained an injury or he probably would have gotten caught in a head lock and stuck. I can back up my probablys just as easy as you can.

    So if he'd been a one-time qualifier in a multi-class state, he would have gotten more attention? I hardly think so. In a multi-class state, would he have been more than a one-time qualifier? Maybe, maybe not. I'm sure taking a year off made the young man more mature and more focused. You can't say with an validity that if there were multiple classes in Indiana he would have gotten more attention. There can be as many examples on one side as there is the other.

    The team of 1, Hardy Hendren from Kentucky Country Day, also placed. He was 5th in KY and was runner-up (I think) at the Holiday Classic.

    I'm pretty sure D.J. Radnovich of Gibson Southern pinned all four of his opponents.

    Brimm was 4th as a freshman, 3rd as a soph., 6th as a junior, before winning as a senior.

    Years ago I used to officiate free style, and if I remember if in the first period it ended 0-0 and the official hadn't called stalling he was berated. This helped me call stalling. I heard on here that the official should stay out of big matches and not call stalling because it could decide the match. I'm not positive but I think this was a rule in folkstyle many years ago. From the recesses of my memory, I think I recall this back when I officiated. I'll tell you how long ago that's been.....Chuck Barnett was in high school!!!

    We know he won't, Mark. Your son is a fine young man and wrestler. Everybody will have at least one detractor. Chalk it up to someone who is bitter about something and has an axe to grind against you or Harrison. Call him/her an idiot and forget about it. I'm sure he/she is proud to downgrade a high school sophomore. Probably someone with no success of their own and jealous of someone has some.

    lol.....probably a wise choice. In case you didn't know, The Hilltop Inn was voted the manliest bar in the country this past summer. It was mostly on the strength of their brain sandwich. Maybe next year.

    Well.....I'm starting to question the "no idiot" part of your comment. What will it take for you to realize there are no seeds after the sectional? Henderson got the draw he got because of his placement in the regional, not from a seed. Good grief, man......open your eyes.

    I wish more was done to make teams comply with the 2 team personnel in the corner rule. As a tournament director, I have gone to a corner and ask coaches/parents/trainers/wrestlers to leave a corner. I'm not sure if this should come down to the officials, the home management, or who as to whose job it is.

    What seeds? You don't know by know that the draw for the regionals, semistate, and state is determined by the IHSAA? The formula comes from the state and all you do is plug in the wrestlers. It happens every year that some excellent wrestlers are left home. This year is no exception. You could go through most any weight class and make the statement. The only way around it is having full wrestlebacks. Which will happen about the same time as pigs grow wings.

    I've been blessed to attend 26 (if I counted right) state finals in a row and have the programs from each one. My first was in 1978 at Southport High School. I wasn't able to attend again until 1982 and 1983. I missed 1984 when it got snowed out and was moved to New Castle High School. Started again the next year and haven't missed one since. I'm betting someone like TAE would hold the record. Best memories......First and foremost would be Andy Schneider (Mt. Vernon in Posey Co.) winning our school's first state championship. Being in his corner for his first (and then his second) state championship was an experience I'll never forget. Others, in no particular order: Terry Kissel (one-legged wrestler from Gibson Southern) placing 5th at 126 lbs. in '87; Lance Ellis winning his 4th title; Alex Tsirtsis and Blake Maurer each winning their 4th titles on the same night; Mater Dei reeling off 5 straight champions; one someone else mentioned- watching John Boes from Princeton throw Starks of FW Northrup to his back, only to be rolled through and pinned right at the end of the 2nd period; David Palmer from Delta winning 3 titles. Here's to another 26+ of good times and memories.

    Two words for you......fish bowls......they used to come in both 18 and 24 oz. sizes. A friend of mine and I were there at the bar once and, after about the 3rd fish bowl, I noticed his bowl was bigger than mine. I asked the bartender if Steve's was really bigger than mine or if I was imagining things. Bud informed me that Steve's was 24 oz. while mine was only 18. I asked if we were paying the same price and Bud said yes. When I asked why Steve was getting a bigger glass than me, Bud replied, "'Cause he can drink 24 oz. by the time you drink 18!" Hard to argue with that kind of logic.

    Boy, you got that right.....I've been there and back again. Used to live in an apt. right next door. As far as me being no god.......once, again......hit the nail on the head there, too.

    Take Lloyd Expressway west to St. Joe Ave. Go to the 3rd stoplight (Taco Bell on one corner, Thornton's on another, liquor store on another). That's Maryland St. Turn left. Go to the 2nd stop sign. Be sure to make the veer or you'll run right through the front door of the Hilltop Inn. If you don't want to seem out of place, belly up to the bar, order a fish bowl, and ask the bar tender if you can roll him for it. Brain sandwich and German fries.......food of the gods......

    Thank you. We were working off what the state had posted. Once that change is made, we'll make our change.

    Sims forfeited both his semifinal match (vs. Rickenbaugh of Heritage Hills) and his consolation match (vs. Garnett of Ev. Central) at the regional.

    The 171 lb. bracket for the E'ville Semi-State is wrong. In the first bout at 171, the IHSAA pairings have 1A (Brock Wathen, Jennings County) vs. 3D (Garrett Shepard, Paoli). In the last bout at 171, the IHSAA pairings have 3C (Shane Sneed, Floyd Central) vs. 1B (Joey Todd, Bloom. South) The brackets posted here have Shepard and Sneed turned around.

    The records for the wrestlers from the Castle regional were updated before they were sent to the IHSAA (I know 'cause I did it). I don't know if records from the Bl. South, Jeff, or Mooresville regionals were updated or not.
