  1. WOW - Mater Dei doesn't have anyone this year excepts Sims. Thank god MD was able to go 20-1 on the year giving up 13 forfiets everytime, Sims must get a lot of bonus points everytime he wrestles. We all know Castle is really stinkin it up at Team State. They only beat Delphi 43-9 and are beating PM and taking it right down to the wire. Cali - I'm not sure what you do, but I would suggest you give up forecasting things, cause you are really bad at. Ok..I know lightning will strike me dead for this - But for once I agree with you...cali is clueless... Bluebolt - I hit you with a Wahoo......I'm surprised you only have agreed with me once??

  3. I agree with you they basically are maintaining they can have their cake and eat it too. I have a feeling the IHSAA is in trouble and this bill has an excellent chance of passing. Really they have no one to blame but themselves, they've created their own little governmental dictatorship. If you are going to govern anything you must maintain fair and equitable treatment for all.
  4. I'm calling it early with Harper's recent shoulder issues and facing a very tough Richey. I think Richey has a chance to upset the great Harper, what a story are you pulling for the freshmen phenom or the possible 4x. Both great kids best of luck!!
  5. You know Hawk I respect your thoughts I've read many of them. I don't think you should be telling me to pipe down, until you or Nick has a son wrestle on MD team I'm pretty sure you are not there yet. I think you two need to be asking some basic questions before getting on here and calling the team and the seniors out: 1. Did I do anything this year to help these guys have success? I know the answer to that is NO 2. Do you really think these guys aren't disappointed? I'm pretty sure neither of you will truly understand how disappointed they are. 3. You implied the seniors didn't have pride? I disagree with you and my evidence of this is that Castle qualified 8 kids for State, that was the second most of any school that qualified for Team State the only one with more was Mish with 9. I don't care who you are, there are days that sometimes a team or a kid is better than you on that day. 4. Is there nothing in your lives that haven't left someone you care about with disappointment? I would guess there is, (I wonder how they acted toward you? Did they get on the internet and blast you?) and yes these guys understood and cared about the fact that they were wrestling for the ones that came before them, and the MD families, and their coaches past and present. Lastly I'm going to send you and Nick a private message and I can only hope you understand what the heck I'm talking about...... MD Seniors and Wrestling Team: Were proud of you guys!! Regret is a double edged sword, you can use it to wallow in self pity and ulitimately gain nothing, or you can use it as a cataylst to propel yourselves to bigger and greater things. I know each of you will take this and turn it into something positive in your lives.
  6. One less qualifier than the defending state champs and second most in the group of (8). I'd have to say that Castle kids are pretty darn good. Statistically speaking they should beat a lot of teams. This could possibly explain how they were able to beat Mater Dei.
  7. Johns is no sleeper and the boys up north know that Amen to that! Alex Johns has impressed me this entire year. He is on a mission, lastly he is a fine young man. AJ Best of luck this weekend bring it home......
  8. WOW - You should be ashamed of posting something like this about these kids and the MD program. Did it make you feel better or where you just trying to make those seniors who have given 12 years of their life to this program feel even worse than they already do?? By getting on here and making a post like this you just demonstrates your lack of understanding of the issues around this program. It's good to know that from your perspective a coach or former coach that you feel the coaches were able to secure a 2nd place finish for MD last year. It's people like you that remind me of the phrase "People in Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw Stones". But if you are trapped in a glass house, you should throw a stone. I guess your right if you like a thousand pieces of glass falling on your head.

  10. I think wrestling starts at 9:00 EST and seating is General admission. Basically you have all of Conseco to choose from I would recommend purchasing a suite.....
  11. Those are well-reasoned, well oraganized thoughts. As an English teacher, I 'd like to give you an B+. Now if you would have given specific evidence to support either one of your points, you would have recieved an A. I can't Net Fight man. My wife made me get of the computer last night to "spend time with" her. Ok I don't want you to get in trouble with your wife. I officially withdraw my net fight challenge.
  12. Nick, Let me try and explain it to you: 1. During this week and next you want to be low key and out of sight out of mind, you don't want a bulls eye put on your back, or a newspaper article(s) placed on Delphi's or Perry Meridian's/Mishwaka wrestling room wall. More importantly you don't want everyone to have extra incentive to take you down, or anymore than is already there. 2. You don't want Calvin Sullivan (40-1 Cathedral) to know that you love to take matches into overtime and hope you get the win there. Because Calvin now knows that he shouldn't tie up and he should attack from all angles and get you off your feet, which as stated in the article that you prefer being on your feet. Do you have it now? Not adhering to these rules may in effect create a "Haunting" effect for you or your team. Lastly I'm officially picking a net fight with you......LOL
  13. I think you would agree that there is a big difference with being a difficult place to practice and the toughest room in the state. What I am saying man is Castle is going to go in there and wrestle as hard as they can. If they wrestle as well as they have been lately, then they are going to be a very tough team to beat. How is saying that we have the toughtest room in the state going to "haunt you"? I can tell you that Coach Harmon has to be one of the toughest coaches in the state if not the toughest. To me, that is a huge part of the "toughness" of the room. Now if you are quoted as saying "I am going to go rip Andrew Howe a new one this weekend", or "we are going up to Center Grove and are going to walk through that field" it might haunt you. But commenting on the quality of your teammates and practices will not haunt you. Come on Max. Why do you want to pick a Net fight with everyone? I'm picking a fight are you serious. I was commenting on someone from MD post and you two chimed in, and I'm convinced that you need some help, becuase anyone who thinks Harmon is the toughest coach in the state is in need of some counseling, or did you mean to say he's the shortest coach in the state?? LOL

  15. After watching Johns beat Raley on Saturday. This kid is on a mission for a State Title............
