  1. If for some reason Oak Hill decides not to come we would like to get another team. The cost is $150 per team. If anyone is interested, email me. Bruce Wood woody1071@isp.com
  2. Jay County Adams Central South Adams Yorktown 1 Yorktown 2 Oak Hill (supposed to give an answer today) Bellmont is not in. It will be a great day of elementary wrestling and all involved are excited to wrestle Sunday. Jay County, Adams Central and South Adams are using it to kick off the first season of the newly formed Rival Wrestling League.
  3. What is the record of the teams that Union City beat?
  4. I put a link on our elementary team's facebook page. Hopefully some ex wrestlers that are out of state can catch it.
  5. Google "Tea Tree Oil". It is known to kill staph bacteria and other nasty stuff.
  6. Jay County would be between these guys. Glenn Glogas Geoff Glogas David Ferguson Casey Kenney I could make a case for at least one guy that didn't place at state being better than one of those guys on the list. Eric LeMaster would be one of those. He got a concussion his senior year on Friday night at State and ended up getting beat but was picked to win it that year and was ranked 1st or 2nd most of the year as well.
  7. when you go to trackwrestling.com there is a search field on the left of the tournament listings. Type in "ISWA" and click "Go". That will give you a list of the ISWA tourneys then follow wrestlinghog's instructions. Using the search tool is easier than clicking next 50.
  8. My bad bro'. I guess I got the part about you wrong. Woops. I was eight so I guess that should allow me to have a fuzzy memory of the details. We'll I started wrestling when I was in 2nd grade, that part I am sure of.
  9. My oldest brother started wrestling when he was in high school. The school had just consolidated and it was a new sport here. Our family went to the dual meets and watched. My dad was a "wrasslin" fan and he thought he knew what it was all about. My 2nd oldest brother got cut from the high school basketball team his sophomore year and started wrestling. Now it was like a family sport. The school now had it's 2nd coach whom was a former state champion and he started a kids program. That's when I started wrestling. I was in 2nd grade.
  10. Does anyone know when the results are going to be posted? Or if they have been already. If so, where?
  11. Didn't they have live bracket updates last year?
  12. Ft Wayne SS 103 - Bevans (1) 112 - Roe (2) 119 - Lovejoy (1) 125 - Perry (2) 130 - Meska (3) 135 - Faurote (2) 140 - Shwartz (2) 145 - Sparks (2) 152 - Hogendobler (3) 160 - Lefever (2) 171 - Castner (1) 189 - Smith (3) 215 - Coursen-Carr (3) 285 - West (2)
  13. Best Defensively - Lance Ellis. I didn't see him get taken down much. He begged guys to shoot on him. Very good on offense as well.
  14. I am not starting my 4 year old son in school next year for those reasons. 1) June 10 birthday. He'll be 18 his whole senior year. 2)Maturity and he's not exactly tall for his age. 3) No need to hurry him out of my house. I think it could be a difference from being a leader instead of a follower. He is wrestling already (35 lbs.)and loves it. To him there is "practice wrestling" and "real wrestling". He likes the "real wrestling" best.
  15. Here is a link to results from IHSAA. No scores, but at least it has all of the finishers. http://www.ihsaa.org/dnn/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=k4rJrXm5dl4%3d&tabid=754
  16. It started over an hour late this year. I don't know if you could say that it was totally their fault though. I "heard" that 2 teams faxed their weigh-ins Sunday morning and then showed up in the morning as well. I don't know if that is true or not. One could argue that they didn't have to let those teams in the tournament. The teams should have known ahead of time that they were coming. The tournament directors must have worked their butts off to get it started when they did. Hats off to them for that! I can say that in my experience it was ran well once it got going. I would go back. They must not have had coffee though...
