  1. Nice Luigs and Black will make good practice partners!
  2. Absolutely it would be something that we would be interested in. Of course I'm not the only one to make the call. I think that this is a great idea.
  3. Could Hobart and Harrison be invited...Hehe
  4. Waste of time going back and forth. We could argue all day on this or that, at the end of the day it would be a good dual. The deciding factor would be if krintz went 60 or 70, we match better against him at 70. WE WILL NEVER KNOW UNLESS IT HAPPENS. I really do hope that harrison gets invited to the region, maybe even a superdual that hobart is at. I would love to have 48 points scored on us . I really hope that Chesterton gets in, their program is on the rise, and they are returning 4 state qualifiers, 2 of them runner ups. I think It would be great for another Region team to get in, especially them, because I think that they would do well.
  5. I was using the KV LINE UPS, and Krintz would not major Guarnero. Burns Former state qualifier, and Betourne he is ranked cuz he probably has 1000 matches won but no significant wins. Evansvill mater dei barely put 50 on us with a really hurt and weak line up, I doubt that Harrison would put 48 up lol
  6. also agree! I would love to see a wrestle back from regionals on. The only state tourney that is ran right is the sectional.
  7. 106: Cardwell over Sam Hein (HARR) (HOB PINNED KV :32) 113: Josh Wade (HARR) over Schammert 120: Triana over Trey McCartney (HARR) (HOB MAJ KV) 126: Gomez over Cody Betourne (HARR) (HOB PINNED KV) 132: James Strother (HARR) over Lovell 138: Black overBrock Merkel (HARR) (OUR BACK UP GOT THE FALL VS KV) 145: Colza over Caleb White (HARR) (HOB PINNED KV) 152: Burns over Owen Conklin (HARR) (HOB TF KV) 160: Guarnero over Seth Younker (HARR) (HOB PINNED KV) 170: Fattore over Myles Krintz (HARR) (HOB TF KV) 182: Ethan Powell (HARR) over Vode (idk toss up) 195: Will Crider (HARR) over Recio 220: Seth Chrisman (HARR) over Salazar 285: Donald Crider (HARR) over Moore kv line up vs kv line up It would be one to see, Hobart wins 8 out of 14 just based off common opponent results. Not to mention that our 138-170 like to TF AND PIN KIDS.
  8. I really think you're underestimating these kids by their record. Gomez had 8 losses but was a SSQ last year. He lost to Rodriguez from morton (stateQ) to go to semi-state. he lost to him 2x in the year, lost to luna 2x, Matt lee EMD, Jeffersonville kid, Lucas finger, and the Castle Kid. He had some competition. Vode all of his losses going to SSQ and StateQ....ANYways.... You are basing your opinion off records, Most of these kids were back ups or pulled off the football field. We wrestle a tougher schedule than you think. Harvest Al smith Castle super dual (Castle, EMD, Jeffersonville, BloomingtonSouth, Jasper) Calumet sectional I would take anyone from the Logansport Regional, Put them in our schedule and I bet they have more than 5 losses. Also, I am not saying that we deserve to be there either, I am saying coming from a tougher route really screws your chances. Some teams have it made...
  9. Calumet regional had 18 state qualifiers. One champion, two 2nds, two 3rds, three 4ths, two 5ths, two 6ths. Portage-5 placers 3 qualifiers Hobart- 2 placers 1 champ 1qualifier Merrillville- 2 placer 1 qualifier Grifftith- 1 placer Munster- 1 placer Morton- 1 qualifier
  10. It would be nice, maybe they could hitch a ride with McCutchen to the harvest.
  11. Why do they get semi-state qualifying points if they don't qualify for semi-state??
  12. Thanks for the info guys! Better luck next year I guess. And no I don"t think that we would be in a running for a state title if we went, Portage has an awesome dual team that would put some big points on us, I am just trying to state my case because we do have a tough team that might deserve to be there over some, and the goal is to wrestle our toughest schedule (That is why we picked up EMD, CASTLE, JEFFERSONVILLE, ETC.) ..But because we come out of one of the toughest sectionals, regionals, and semi-states (Portage in all) we get punished for it. Merrilville comes from the EC sectional...6 of their kids made it to regionals without wrestling, Not trying to bash any team for their hard work, I just don't like the system to be honest... Now that I got that off my chest, Indianamat has done a great job this year with everything, and I would like to thank them for their hard work.
  13. Really is unfortunate that Hobart isn't eligible for a vote in. We lose 3 seniors, gain 2 tough freshman. Not really sure on how the point system works but I am disappointed we wont have a shot to be able to compete against some of the best teams from around the state. What do we have to do to score more points?? Does our SOS have to go up? We finished 6th in the state tournament with 3 wrestlers advancing into Saturday, 5 points behind power house PORTAGE. Yes I do understand that this is a dual tournament, but please explain to me how we can better our chances to get into this tournament? Please give me a point breakdown... I AM LOST
  14. Hunter, Leon, McClean and Diego Gomez for Hobart will all be tough next year. Getting some freshman turley and little Colza as well!
  15. Steve Balash Had 32 placers out of 60 (.5333333) starting in 1987
  16. Chesterton wrestled out of this world! They did a fantastic job with all 6 of their guys in the finals with 4 champs! Congrats to the ECC semi-state champs! Thank you for the kind words from the Hobart Staff, we were really proud of the way our guys performed, Our 106 Cardwell lost to the kid that won it, 152 Burns lost a nail biter to Lamore CP, and our 160 Guarnero (Reg champ) was rewarded with a very tough Oskar Kasch CP and wrestled really well against him. Not to mention these boys have been putting in the work in the classroom as well, 4 academic all-staters!
  17. Steve Balash-He teaches and has taught the most important thing in athletes and coaches today....CHARACTER!
  18. How many has colton cummings won?
