  1. 100 percent agree. I think that the frustration is that we feel like we are not well informed. It’s an emotional 4 weeks. We are all on pins and needles for a month. Thank god for this forum that lets us all have these discussions to help eachother get through it all. I would suggest that the IHSAA put out a statement that outlines their plan and process as we move toward the finals weekend. Just not knowing is the tough part. Great job on the show yesterday Joe, and thanks for keeping us all informed as best as you can.
  2. Up to school. Some are going to buy for families when they get codes. Some ADs are gonna forward codes to families to buy their own. As far as I know nobody has them but they are sposed to be to schools today. This is just from talking to people in the know. Not sure on the pecking order of who will get codes when. Again, all hear say. Please dont hold me to it.
  3. No codes and tickets go on sale in 45 mins. Please encourage all ADs to be honest and not politically correct during the zoom with IHSAA. Whoever is in charge of all of this is clearly is in over their head and needs to allow someone else to do the needed research and make policy. Without being brutally honest to the powers to be, it won’t get better.
  4. Maybe codes for qualifiers? Does anybody know??? It’s hours away. Of course we are in the dark.
  5. Congrats champ! Super proud of you. Been watching and rooting from day one. IU is getting a great kid from an awesome family!!!
  6. local dirt ball scalpers will get in on this…
  7. Ive been told that Saturday tickets will go on sale @ 11:30 pm Friday night. HUGE mistake!!! Prepare to refresh a million times, lose place in que 100 times, have ticketmaster crash, and be up til 2am for nose bleeds. SMH

  12. It’s college wrestling… nobody is ever 100 percent healthy. The kid is amazing and had reached the number one ranking in his class of all college wrestlers. I’m guess he’s had a few hiccups but know in my heart that he will be on top again before it’s all said and done. A lot of my middle schoolers wear shirts that say BeLEEve. I think they are on to something!
  13. Can we get a list of teams (with seeds) and then how they actually finished???? Would like to see, but too lazy to do it because I just ate a whole large pizza! Give us the data so we can all judge if the seeding really sucked or not. Please???
  14. Track is down. Pretty sure @Y2CJ41 has a hand in it as he’s at the table!
  15. Moving mats now… guessing 15 mins or so
  16. @casualwrestlingfan It appears that you are basing your opinion of the way that Ohio looks at Indiana on message boards. Which I get… you love dem message boards!!! Get off that border and get to dem tournaments. Leave that Yappi alone!!! Dem fools are fools. With that said, @ontherise219 has had actual conversations with actual people in the know. He clearly has been told that the people who matter do respect and are in fact impressed with our top level guys and programs. Also.. my son wrestles in college in Ohio. My car logs thousands of miles to Ohio every year. All of his teammates know of our top programs and how tough our top guys are. One of his teammates was the middle school ranker for Rokfin. He would send me text weekly asking about our top middle school guys. I have been to Brecksville many years and have seen all of the Indiana champs win it in person. Everytime I have went, I have had national rankers and college coaches ask about Indiana guys. I have sat there a heard the table workers have conversations about how they are impressed with the Indiana boys (paid table workers not kids). There is not a month that goes by that I don’t have a D1 coach from Ohio text me to ask about Indiana guys. I stay in contact with a D1 coach who’s dad happens to run the St.Ed’s program. I can say without a doubt that they are impressed by our top guys and respect us. Just was we are impressed and respect them. As far as St Ed’s and Graham guys. Our top guys have been wrestling those guys since they were little kids. I’ve been in Cleveland when @tigrreapr56 put together a yourh team and beat StEds in their own house. I’ve been to tournament of Champions when Indiana kids have won it. I’ve been to Toledo when the Indiana kids were battling for a national middle school title. I’ve been to Medina and watched our kids battle at their holiday tournament. I’ve been to Mason Ohio and watched our best elementary kids wrestle ohios best. I’ve been to Heartland and Kingsport and watched our youth take it to Ohio. Like @ontherise219 I was at carnahan. Was at Ironman too. We impressed there. My oldest son even wrestled for Ohio mafia in middle and high school. They could have taken Ohio kids but put my son and @TeamGarcias sons on the team, because they were impressed. Bottom line.. you can have the opinion that the fine folks of Ohio are not impressed with our guys. But.. I have about 20 years of actual experience of going over their and being told that they are impressed (from people who actually matter) with our wrestling in Indiana. Now… with all of that said! We do not have the depth that Ohio does. But.. that all comes down to population. As a 1a guy @casualwrestlingfan I’m sure that you can relate. Ohio goes much deeper then us. They just have more wrestlers and a deeper pool. But.. our top guys and programs are right up their with theirs. i think you opinion in this matter is wrong. Just like you think @TeamGarcia is wrong. With all of this said.. this is all in fun (I hope). Great conversation men.
  17. Ahhh.. Rochester is in Fulton County. I thought #1 county was Adams. Please clarify. Perhaps you can go with TheFort??? Still confused on Graham and St Ed’s point??? With that said, both teams were at the Carnahan and Ironman. St Ed’s is really good this year. Graham is a bit down. Again… not in the debate. Just.trying to note of what is what and where is where.
  18. MattyB won’t touch this argument! Love everyone involved. Had many beers had with most debaters, and the two wrestlers families. Even have cornered both kids. I never debate rankings or make predictions. They (The Garcias) actually attend Marian Marshall. We should see Asa in the line up this semester!! And… @tigrreapr56 (Kenny).. more then welcome to heat dem babies up at casa de MattyB also!!! I know you bring that Can’t wait for this weekend…. Good luck to all wrestlers, coaches and parents!
  19. Your prediction is a close dual with PM with a couple of swing matches. Can we get the prediction for EMD vs Cathedral?
  20. Update on some tough matches for Brownsburg. Hard to follow, as they have been grinding against mostly out of state competition. I know I missed some. As accurate as I could get from my source. 106 Revin Dickman 5-0 over #8 Luke Green Auora 8-0 over #3 Emeric McBurney Massillon Perry L 8-7 to #13 Nationally Rylan Seacrist W over #18 Nationally Ayden Thomas Stillwater L #6 Nationally Yarbourough OH L #8 Nationally Ayden Smith Notre Dame PA Fall #6 OH Huggy Williams TF #14 OH Blake Frantz Wadsworth 113 Preston haines Fall over Peyton Costa #20 L to #1 MI Carter Cichocki OT 7-3 over #11 Alex Denikins Perrysburg L TB #2 Jaxson Rosselli Oeltnagy Liberty L #7 Konner Lambers Elder OT 5-1 W over #10 Donny Pigoni Marmion L to Nationally Ranked Deion Johnson Homewood Flossmoor 5-0 W Tanner Berkenstock Notre Dame PA L #4 Ohio Karson Brown St Eds 120 Jake Hockaday MD #3 Ohio Nathan Attisano L #3 Ohio Adam Butler St Eds L IL Zach Stewart Marmion Academy W #7 OH Braden Hahlen CVCA Fall over Robye Williams IL HF 6-2 Damian Desendez Mt Carmel IL L 9-6 Nationally ranked #2 Jordyn Raney 126 Landen Haines fall over #12 Alex Mickens Columbus MD over #10 Joey Baumann Dublin Coffman L to #1 MI Braden Davis 3-2 over #8 Kolten Barker Louisville L Nationally ranked #14 Jameson Garcia 132 Brady Ison 6-5 over #3 Kaden Jett Brecksville 10-1 over #6 Nick Blackburn Mentor 6-0 over #7 Diego Chavez Perrysburg TF over #29 Boston Burkhardt Marysville 4-2 over #1 Ashton Horman Monroeville L #5 Nationally Vincent Robinson 8-3 W over #4 Ohio Brogan Tucker returning State Champ St Paris Graham 138 Parker Reynolds 5-1 over Mason Stewart DCC L to #1 Justin Gates Davison MI 7-2 5-0 #1 Ashton Horman Monroeville MD over #4 Hayden Hughes St Paris Graham L #3 Ryan Bennett St Eds 5-0 Evan Cruz 175 Caden Brewer Dec 6-3 over #11 Hogan from Mentor L #2 Nationally Josh Barr MD 10-0 #13 Storm Beane Dublin Coffmann (lost to him 5-2) at IHPO L #1 Connor Havill Troy 9-6 L #3 Shulaw Columbus 7-6 L 9-4 #2 Nationally Jarell Miller St Eds Dec 8-2 over #2 IL Jack Lesher Marmion Fall IHPO 3rd place Bruce Besker Walsh Jesuit 190 Gunner Henry Fall over #8 Lee Burkett Troy L 13-11 #1 Max Ray Tiffin W 8-4 over #12 McPherson Brecksville L #1 Keegen Sell Garrettsville Fall over #10 Wisconsin Polcyzsnki Fall over #7 Anthony White Fall #20 OH Carhlie Mitchell Dublin Coffman 285 Leighton Jones L #1 Aidan Fockler 3-1 6-0 W #6 Joey Thurston Teays Valley Fall over #21 Carmargo St Ignatious 3-2 #2 OH Aaron Ries Wadsworth 5-1 #2 Paul Clark L 5-2 Carter Neves Blair Academy Going to have some ugly records. 21. Big fan of the Bombers here since Mrs MattyB graduated from there. And my nephew (adopted redheaded step) coaches Cascade. With that said… it’s all in good fun. But… better bring it on this board or you will get hammered. Welcome to the forum! Also… HH has a coach who is a living legend here in Indiana. They are very tough. Everyone just busting your chops!
