  1. May not want conversations at the table broadcasted??? Idk???
  2. @SWINfan I promise I went and asked the director multiple times for sound just now and was told no. Out of respect, I know you would do the same. Sorry brother.
  3. @SWINfani promise I will ask about sound in finals. I’ll do my best.
  4. So awesome! Thank you to both wrestlers and coaches!
  5. Welp… @TeamGarciawill be an empty nester next season. @Y2CJ41 can we get a rankings consultant job for this man?
  6. Slivka and Brewer in protocol. Our boys were ready. Sucks for both teams, that this dual didn't go as planned. Covid is ruining it all. Bout over it all.
  7. Order something from you every year. I have all my magazines in mint condition. Waiting for the value of these babies to go to the moon! Solid investment. But yes @TeamGarciahas your address pinned to our research board at #TheCountyTMZ offices. Rumor is that the Banana Cartel is keeping an eye on the IndianaMat offices. Got to make sure our bananas stay secure.
  8. I kinda felt like stalker looking up that address. Glad I wasn’t the only curious one. I figured it may be @Y2CJ41 s house or something. Anyway… my son got to wrestle on a teams with Veazy. By all accounts the kid and family are first class. Hopefully he has a full and speedy recovery.
  9. Dave Kern has been an assistant at North Central and Avon. He got my oldest over the hump his senior year. He’s a great coach friend and man. Not a household name but should be.
  10. Street was just rusty. He will be ready to rock this weekend!
  11. Yep. He was in on a shot in the first few seconds (imagine that). He came to his feet and had him bear hugged in the air and the dude just squeezed his oxygen off. Was there for a while, before the ref blew the whistle. Was out on his feet.
  12. @TripleBits Mattyb’s birthday tomorrow on Xmas. How bout a birthday present for your dart hustling partner. btw… I’ll take some nannas if anybody feels like giving me some.
  13. Carson got a ff against George Mason. Against Gardner Webb he was choked out in the first 15 seconds. Had to clear protocol to continue. Probably shouldn’t have. Told me he was half way through the match before he started to get right and thought he was winning! Lol Bad circumstances, tough one. Been back just a few weeks now. Looking to do some damage at midlands. Congrats to all these kids. Most people have no clue what these kids go through to wrestle in college. Much love to them all!
  14. The difference is that @QuinnHarrisembraces the culture of the area of where he is from and is now coaching. Lots of coaches have big egos and want to control every aspect of their wrestlers training and schedule. Quinn grew up in TheCounty and has seen the shift in mentality and quality of wrestling in this area. He embraces the fact that he kids are willing to put in that extra work and take advantage of resources that kids in other parts of the state are not getting. Add that to his willingness to run great practices and do the off season stuff himself…. He gets it! I know that he is already planning his teams off season dual and trip schedule. @quinnsDAD convinced me years ago to go buy a pair of shoes and help grow the Avon wrestling club. The first kid we met was Quinn. That little red head in the rec specs was a handful, but had unmatched energy and great positive energy. I got to spend many weekends on the road with that kid. We all grew that club and had a lot of success. Quinn has been through it as a kid. He has the knowledge and passion to build a great program. Look for the Cadets to keep getting better and better. Quinn has surrounded himself with other coaches that have been a part of the best youth clubs and academies around. These guys get the culture of our area as a whole. Proud of my guy and our neighbors to the west. Now go win state men!!!!
  15. I wouldn’t take it personal. Clearly nobody even knows who all you EMD fans are. I think being Anonymous is a part of being a EMD on this board. So… he’s not attacking you. From all your post, you seem to be a very passionate fan in the stands and an Admirer of the sport. Again, don’t take it personal. It’s just wrestling fans and people that have actually helped a program going back and forth making cases for their teams. All in good fun.
  16. Ive done my time on the road. Busy coaching local middle school and traveling to watch my actual kids on weekends. With that said... I would love to see our top guys come together and kick the crap out of everyone. I do happen to coach a middle school team with a lot of good wrestlers. I have also been lucky enough to coach at many national events with our top guys (for many years). I want them to wrestle at middle school state and represent our state.
  17. My point has been confirmed within this thread and with multiple conversations with the parents of some of our best kids. They are not willing to take an additional week off from the national scene and make weight here to be able to compete for a state title. I think the fix is fairly easy. If a wrestler placed 4th or higher in the prior year, they should earn a qualifier exemption. I think this slight tweak will help you achieve your number 4 goal …. Unity! We are not United at this time. We need to fix this. Rewarding out top guys for their prior achievements and allowing them an additional weekend to seek out top national competition will help unite (IMO).
  18. The best thing is that all of these kids are first class men. I actually saw Ty today and had a good conversation with him. He is on pace to graduate from Duke university this year. Hes going to graduate from that prestigious school and has been able to be a D1 wrestler the whole time. That is no small feat. That kid is going to a very successful in anything he decides to do. I can just feel it when I speak with him. I look forward to seeing what my nephew Asa does at Rutgers. I think that he will start next year on. The whole Rooks family is first class. That whole Columbus East group were always a special group from elementary school on. They allowed my son to do summer stuff with them and will always be appreciated. Big fan of all three, I wish them nothing but the best. @blueandgold bringing great takes to the board and starting great topics. Bravo my friend.
  19. Pulling away from the number 8 team in the nation…… going to win big!!!!
