    and another thing.... new pal and belleville are great additions. the belleville kids are very good, as are the new pal kids and their fans. very loud....

    zero MD fans overlooked "that small town kentucky team". union county brings in a very tough team every year. starting seven freshmen and sophomores and forfeiting a weight class proved to be too much for MD to overcome. personally, i have a high regard for union county's program. we also wrestle them on a middle school level. their kids are nail-tough; their coaches knowledgable and passionate. it is not a surprise to MD fans that they are successful.

    My 13 year old daughter has two brothers that wrestle. She was commenting how poor the Announcers were during the Oregon state and Minnesota match. I muted the volume and she did the play by Play. Very entertaining.

    There is a state-wide coaches poll. From that data, votes are tallied and a ranking is created. Have any other clever observations or questions?

    Still no BlueBolt.... Is it possible that BlueBolt's team has been shipped to the Evansville Central sectional, and in a state of abject depression, he has shaved his head and become a monk? I'm giving BlueBolt a standing eight count. If I get to eight, i'm declaring WrestleMan as the winner.

    Did these two wrestle at Castle? Can someone give a blow by blow? What happened with Jacob Brown?

    i do not know why they might feel slighted; were the selection criteria changed in order to eliminate them? i have actually read the selection criteria and commend the association for a thoughtful and informed set of criterion. i would encourage them to take input after the tournament and carefully consider making some, if any changes. it often gets lost that the ihswca not only saved this event, but has expanded it and made some dramatic improvements, such as seeding. as far as teams getting additional consideration for a "great coaching staff" and "they are tough at the end of the year"....well that just seems silly.

    i'm cool with that as long as the cavemen agree to not wear paper burger king crowns. nonetheless, i think they will surprise some people.

    i believe the aforementioned 138 champ was connor houchins. i have heard that houchins' dad and jeff reese's dad both wrestled at north posey... coincidence? possible trend?

    WrestleMan- I think you hit it on the head: A couple of people step up, one or two guys go on a mission, next thing you know, a few people are surprised.

    I am tempted to slap a "cliche technical" anytime I see this one of these on the board. My personal (least) favorite cliches: "The only ranking that matters is the one at Banker's Life". Solid evidence and reasoning that any pre or in-season rankings should be banned. "...will make some noise". It's a good thing. Everyone hates a quiet winner. "...will surprise some people". Surprise who with what? He is out of pull-up pants? "It's all about the six minutes". Unless, of course, you get pinned in three seconds. Ridiculous assertions that the wrestler you are promoting was winning until he "got caught". IE: "He was doing great against Tsirtsis until he 'got caught' on the 15th takedown and was tech falled 30-15." "(After the loss) He will be back in the room working hard". Because, as we all know, after a win, a wrestler generally takes off a week. "They are the hardest working team in the state". Is there a nomination process for the "hardest working team". Was James Brown a wrestler before he became the godfather of soul?

    The board has been strangely quiet this year about the Central sectional vs. Castle Sectional. As the "accuracy" champion from last year's regional picks, WrestleMan has the pressure to make it happen again. However, there's a catch.... Realignment! Politcally, gentlemen, you should tread lightly. WrestleMan, you are losing a lot of power from the old Central sectional to the Castle sectional. Are you willing to stipulate that the Castle sectional may now be tougher? BlueBolt, if you claim that Castle is tougher, WrestleMan may state the cause being from the talent injection from the Central sectional. Get your tongues sharpened and those brains a crankin! Go to your corners and come out swinging!

    wrestleman- how about a prediction of advancers from the evansville sectional vs. castle sectional? you know who is returning. it seems like your analysis from last year of individual records, strength of schedule, etc. was enough to go on record. dude, you have to keep working. i'll be bluebolt is already working on this! xox, hook

    The rumour is that WrestleMan is putting the finishing touches on his regional picks. Looks like he is putting his 93.7% accuracy rating on the line early! If this is the case, I like his aggressiveness.

    Goosey, if you look at PM's English department, I'll bet that they gave a pretty good grammer and grammer teacher. That should give you something to look forward to...
