    I watched the match and I thought they had stopped the match because it was potentially dangerous. When a wrestler stands up with someone draped over, it is potentially dangerous. If the action was stopped, the feet wouldn't have touched...I wonder why Tonte didn't argue that? That being said, Malloy will win next time. He works harder.

    This match will be much closer than many are claiming. Also, you can't go to very many duals where there is so many exciting match ups...this one has 8. 113, 120, 138, 145, 160, 170, 220, and 285 will be awesome.

    6 undefeated wrestlers could be locking up. Harvey/johnson, Willis/masengale, and Bernard/winfield. I think the Irish studs will all prevail.

    Cathedral can! I have cathedral pulling the upset this Thursday in Perry's gym.

    Looks pretty good, but didn't the IHSAA or B. cox say they would help the IHSWCA in having a team state tourney. I would think the IHSAA would have to at least recognize the duals champions from the classes.

    Unbelievable! You mean to tell me you could compete in a classed event and you wouldn't show? If the coaches were polled and the majority wanted to see this classed tournament held...would you support it? If you wouldn't, you are nothing more than what you say is wrong with the IHSWCA. You don't know what you want. In my opinion, the coaches that just want the Individual State to determine the champ just don't want to work any harder. There team doesn't have a shot at the individual state crown. They get there one state qualifier every other year and they get to walk around conseco shake some hands and wear the credentials. That is cool with them.

    I would rather have the genius ratings determine the team state champ like the BCS or something. Coach Snyder, you have to be mistaken because that doesn't make any sense.

    Yeah, but wrestling has changed a lot since 1990. We don't have many week night duals anymore. Those weeknight duals are some of the most exciting matches to attend. That is why I enjoy the Team series so much.

    In the team format, the best team that day is the champ. In the individual format, 75%(or more) of the championship team won't even compete in the tournament. AJ, why don't you like the team tournament? I hate the excuse that "the same teams always win." That isn't always true. Perry wins their first last year and there are several other teams that have built a solid program that also want a shot at there first team title. The same teams are always there because they are the best teams.

    Lets just clear this all up. Thorton has not been an official Coach for the last 3 years. I believe he coached at Perry from like 94-95 to like 2006-2007(when his first daughter was born). He didn't do a lot in the spring (helped run tournaments, etc.) because he was coaching track. He still announces at all home meets/pep sessions. Oh yeah, he was also diagnosed with cancer 2 or 3 years ago. He may not have spoken with your son, but I can bet he has given quite a few referees a hard time on your son's behalf.

    Is your son going to stay and dress with the Varsity team or start wrestling?

    Integrated crap, What tournament do you run? Most of the people who complain(make suggestions) aren't involved with running a tournament. On another note, Franklin and Perry Meridian have done matside pairing for several years now. This year, Perry had a laptop or Ipad at every mat keeping time and score. The score and pairing were done through track wrestling. The 400 wrestler tournanment was complete around 2:30.

    Hammer, I totally agree that Reece was top 5 at 189. I am just saying that giving up the weight at the bigger weight classes doesn't restrict a 189 pounder from winning at 215. The champ and runner-up at 215 would have had their hands full at 189.

    I will repost and clarify my ealier post. Trey Reese and Logan Cooper, state champ and runner-up at 215, weigh 189 pounds. I have heard from others that Trey can't handle Stevenson in the room. Trey dominated 215 and weighs 25 pounds less than some. I would venture to say that the two mentioned wrestlers placed higher than they would have at 189. Did you just try to bring "NOT" back from 1991?

    My point is why add more weight classes up top when 189 pounders do quite well at 215(probably do better than they would have at 189). Your argument isn't a very good one.

    I think having 182, 195, and 220 is crazy. Take a look at our 215 champ and runner-up. Reese weighs 190 and Cooper weighs 189. Many would say they are 182 pounders. Being undersized at the higher weights didn't hurt them at all.

    If you are taking your team to a tourney, I can respect that. I know you could have taken some kids to an inexpensive clinic tonight. Sometimes I feel that you try hard to make a mockery out of the team series. How many teams have sent JV teams to a Regional? I know of one. I know of one other that didn't want to come this year.

    You, my friend, don't get it. You are the man behind a great wrestling site without a clue. Why not get your high school and middle school team together, and come down and see where you want to be? Yes, you have a small school, but why not set some lofty goals? Hopefully there will be a class system soon, and then you will be ready.

    How have the coaches made a mockery of the tourney? A few coaches have thought they didn't have a chance and sent some JV guys. Others have had kids that aren't healthy. No team regional or state tourney I have been to seemed like a mockery. I hope you are there tomorrow.

    Came up with...only highest per weight class scoring points. Perry 112 Franklin 111 Lowell 107
