  1. Am I the only one who cannot open any sectional brackets? I was viewing them fine early this week.
  2. What so many people in the wrestling community find so distasteful about the whole situation is that everyone knows that some of Yorktown's move ins were for athletic reasons. So for them then to protest a move out is the height of hypocrisy. They will receive wrestlers and think it is great when the other schools AD would not protest the move. But when it goes against them they protest. This is the point that we find so frustrating. But peoples real motives shine through in the end. We see now that the program was not about the kids after all.
  3. In Russia they do not cut weight, especially younger kids. There are good articles on this.
  4. I don't think it is criticizing fans for wanting to see the match up. What wrestling fan would not want to see this match up. It is comments like Red won't swallow his pride enough. Like I said in another post, I hope the coach is making the final call on dual weights. And two who cares if Red desires to go out with an unblemished record. I don't know what his college plans are. If he goes out with a totally unblemished record he can choose wherever he wants to go. We can talk about imaginary match ups all day, that is what a board is for. But let's hold off on making accusations about high school kids and why they would or wouldn't bump or cut. Nick and Chad both wrestled everyone who stepped on the mat in their weight class and both had great seasons. I would love to see the match ups. I think Chad would be giving up some size against Nick so that would make it hard fro him from my perspective.
  5. So in a dual meet does the coach let the wrestler pick his weight? Or does the coach say Chad - Nick you are wrestling here because it gives us the best chance to win. The individual tournament is there for the individual. But to me an individual wrestler goes where it is the best for the team at a dual meet. That is how I always understood it from the coaches I interacted with. So by one not bumping or the other not dropping is it really one avoiding the other or going where it is best for the team at the choice of the coach. The talk about either trying to avoid each other makes very little sense to me. I hope 16-17 year old kids are not dictating to the coaches when they will jump or drop in weight for a dual.
  6. That got me. No sound but I can live with that. When I ran it through my tv I have sound
  7. I am on regionsportsnetwork but not sure where I go from there. I do not see any options to play. I click ihsaa and it takes me to ihsaa.
  8. A friend and I live in the same small town and have different internet providers. I get a black screen from IHSAA and he gets a red one that says it starts at 7:30.
  9. If you are in Indiana you won't be able to stream it. For Saturday night's championship round, viewers outside of the Fox Sports Indiana coverage area, a live stream will be available at IHSAAtv.org.
  10. Oh Crap!!!! For Saturday night's championship round, viewers outside of the Fox Sports Indiana coverage area, a live stream will be available at IHSAAtv.org. That means I am not going to be able to watch the finals! Thanks a lot IHSAA keep trying to find more ways to make money off of high school kids! Now I am going to have to listen to it on the radio.
  11. Yes, but does that mean they are going to black out all of Indiana?
  12. How do we know if this is the case. I have no idea where my ip address is from.
  13. If Miller wins I would vote for him for the meat grinder that is 120.

    160#'s

So Bryce didn't earn the right to walk in the parade of champions. To have his name listed as a state qualifier? To be at the event he earned the right to be at.

Just heard on WZBD that Bellmont's Bryce Baumgartner is injury defaulting. He was not cleared after the concussion last week. They opted to allow him to go since the alternate was tech falled at Semi-State and it would have messed up West Nobles draw. Tough break for Bryce.
  16. I don't have enough bandwidth to open all four and it keep up. Doh being frugal (or cheap as my wife would call it) can bite you some days!
  17. Great advice!! Thanks
  18. I know most are either in Indy or almost there.....but. How does the Trackcast work? Can you have all four mats open at the same time? My concern is closing the one then opening the other when I think a match is about to start? Anyone help with this.
  19. Wrestlers I would wait to hear from your coaches before you count that pound. Don't take chances at this stage of the game!
  20. No Chad Red is one of the best in the nation. He is ranked #1 in the nation. This does put him on another level. Not just in our Hoosier eyes but outside of our state. Nothing against Malloy he is one of the best in the state.
  21. How much of the struggle in Ft. Wayne has to do with so many schools not having Jr. High wrestling? Then it goes back to the feeder programs.
  22. This time of year is always hard on me. Wrestling is done, nothing good to talk about. And the only real action on the board is the endless debate of participation ribbons and one weight class. :'( :'( Have good summer all!
  23. 24 qualifiers for state is the answer I was looking for thank you. Also thanks everyone for not hurling insults I will now back away quietly ;D
  24. This is a legitimate question and not rhetoric for or against. Why is N.J. always considered one of the top wrestling states in the nation if they do not run a classed wrestling season? Y2 has referenced that N.J. schools are fairly close in size. Yet the same argument I hear for class wrestling is that if we get the number of kids going to state it will bring better exposure for our sport. Would that argument not hold true for N.J.? Please don't attack me either side I am trying to sort it out in my mind :-\
