  1. The arrangements for John Schattner's funeral are a showing from 10:30 to noon and a brief service, at the funeral home, at noon, this Saturday. The location is O'Riley's funeral home at 6107 South East Street, a couple of miles south of the 465 and US 31 interchange. In John's memory, the family is asking that no flowers be sent and donations be made to the Indiana State Wrestling Association, 5715 Churchman Avenue, Suite L, Indianapolis, IN 46203.

  3. IPFW has a club team and they travel to tournaments. I know that Carter Delaney's (FW Dwenger) older brother is on the team.
  4. Great wrestlers and classy young men, Tyler Willis and Conner James, also did the same thing.
  5. Somehow Tonte ALWAYS gets the calls! Refs are afraid of the guy!
  6. It least Neibarger is moving on to SS. #9 Conner (182) lost and is out!
  7. I respect the Campbell family for being with their son and I understand if boys are sick and out of school or ineligible because of grades. It is just sad to see only six weight classes being filled. I was really upset last year when East Central brought their JV team to wrestle against Roncalli at the Shelbyville Team Regional. Very disrespectful to the other teams in the Franklin County Sectional, to Roncalli, and to their own school.
  8. Even though Warren beat Roncalli in the Sectional, they are not that great of a dual team. Roncalli easily beat them twice in duals while nipping them at Marion County and then losing to them in Sectional. Of course, the loss of Albertson to injury was the biggest reason for Roncalli's Sectional loss since they scored no points at 182. New Castle is down significantly so I really believe that the winner of the Connersville / Jennings County match will win the Team Regional. I give the edge to Jennings County.
  9. Lets go David Mappes (Roncalli) at 138! This is the shot you have been waiting for!
  10. Crud, he looked pretty good at 113 at the Spartan Classic.
  11. OOPS! Just found him at 126. Tough decision - cut weight down to 113, wrestle Todd at 120 or wrestle Phillips at 126!
  12. What happened to Gettinger (Connersville) at 113? He was ranked at 113 or 120 most of the year, had beaten several guys on the board, and was a State Qualifier in 2010. Am I missing something?

  22. Bottoms threw the grapevine at least least twice before but was out of bounds - third time worked. Later, Venezia looked pretty bad when being pinned by Campbell of Lebanon. We all have bad days!
  23. The Willis - McGinley match was 7-6 and might have been the most exciting match of the tournament.
  24. Bad day for Michael Venezia - pinned by Bottoms (Richmond) and Campbell (Lebanon) and did not place.
