1. Is his book available I think he was working on a 2nd Edition but wasn't feeling well ??? ???
2. I wish God gave me the will to outstuff
3. In the 2nd round of state, do the losing competitors cross brackets when dropping to the consolation brackets? IE. There are 4 matches in the 2nd round. Once those are wrestled, do the losers of the matches end up in the consoles matched up 1 vs 3 / 2 vs 4 or is it 1 vs 2 / 3 vs 4 ?
4. Exactly -- show time/score/names for all 4 mats on each side of the scoreboard
5. Between rounds, they can show top 10 team scores, or teams with multiple wrestlers still going
6. Please tell me somebody out there has a connection with Banker's Life or the IHSAA that can make this happen I want to see the huge scoreboard at Banker's Life used to show the names of the wrestlers on each mat, and the score. The small tripod scoreboards are very difficult to see if you're in the upper deck on the opposite side of the arena. And for the first round, although I try to keep up with who is on which mat, I can't always recognize the schools - especially in these days of "custom" singlets.
Mat 1 =======Mat 3 0:341st 1:202nd Red3 Lee2 Glogouski3 Bocock2

Mat 2 =======Mat 4 1:001st 0:402nd Kennedy3 Garza2 Hildebrandt3 Smith2
7. HSE wrestler also lost a match to Perry kid yesterday in similar way. Looked scary the perry man was laying down not moving and the match was called. HSE lost his ticket match on that. perry came back and won another match later on to go to state
8. Dingo Brigade always has an excellent New Castle preview
9. If'n you're in the southern part of the state (God's country) then our drawls work jus' fine, thank ye
10. Headlock Hero Cradle Cranker Deadly DuckUnder Who are some of the likely state-qualifiers that have a signature move I should watch for?
11. Noblesville has to be the favorite - Tricentral, Pendleton, Lapel and Elwood could win a few weight classes too. And Alexandria should have a lock on a couple of the middle classes with Blanton and Kyle. Predicitions for each weight? Teams are Noblesville, TriCentral, Pendleton, Lapel, Elwood, Alexandria, Guerin, Frankton, Hamilton Heights, Anderson, Tipton
12. From the brackets, a good test/gauge of where they are this weekend as there will be a likely faceoff between Red and McKinney of Warren Central (also undefeated).
13. Sure, they are on a Mission, but what about the Vision? You can't have a Mission without a Vision !
14. Seems foolish that for a conference tournament kids are going to bus from Richmond all the way to West Lafayette or vice versa.
15. The numbers are interesting, but I don't consider them that meaningful because I don't forsee the smaller teams competing during the season exclusively against other small teams. Would mean a LOT of travel. Maybe even more travel for the 3A teams to travel and only compete against other large-school teams. I'm curious how the individual tournament would work if it were classed, but I'll open the can of worms and post that in another topic.
16. Ferrell vs Corsaro should be great - maybe a preview of state championship match
17. Nick Lee - MaterDei Alec White - Doe Creek Joe Lee - MaterDei dont know weights
18. Coach Wadkins, Can the several coaches serving on the committee to review the State Tournament Series have any impact giving feedback to Mr. Faulkens?
19. Can't see how you have Corsaro as a "heavy favorite" over a 3-time state place winner. Ferrell will not be an easy win if they should meet in the championships.
20. Going to be very tough to get top 4 coming out of some of these weight classes with: Warren Central New Palestine Franklin Central Greenfield Central Roncalli Beech Grove all in the mix... May get a great wrestler as a 4th seed going into Regionals....where they get matched up with.. . . :oPerry Meridian sectional winners :o
21. From the Wrestler pre-registration list...Nathan Boston - Kentucky ??? ??? Messing with our heads?
22. From the Des Moines Register http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/2012/08/04/change-on-the-horizon-for-ncaa-wrestling/ Changes are coming to college wrestling ? and they could lead to monumental shifts in the landscape of the sport. NCAA officials met Saturday with college coaches at the National Wrestling Coaches Association annual convention in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to discuss the growing push to turn the National Duals into an NCAA-sanctioned championship event, as well as the implementation of video replay next season on an experimental basis. NCAA associate director of championships Jeff Jarnecke said a final draft of an NCAA dual championship concept ? which could go into place as early as 2014 ? is nearing completion and will be presented in September to the Division-I sports management cabinet for final approval. ?It?s getting closer,? Jarnecke said. ?One way or another, it?s getting closer. After mid-September, we?ll know whether it?s moving ahead and we?re moving forward with it. ?There?s certainly the (chance) they may ask us to go back and explore and further develop in greater detail ? but there was initial support in the concept when we sent it to the cabinet in June and they asked for continued development.? Jarnecke said the proposed concept includes a 16-team field filled by automatic qualifiers from each conference, along with at-large spots earned through a selection criteria determined with the help of team RPI and head-to-head results. Jarnecke said the top eight seeds would host dual meets on the second weekend in February with the eight winners advancing the following weekend to a two-day event at pre-determined championship site. NWCA officials and college coaches have expressed hope in recent years that the NCAA would put its tag on the National Duals, which has been an NWCA-sponsored invitational that hasn?t always attracted all of the nation?s top teams. Three of the most visible programs ? Penn State, Iowa and Oklahoma State ? have skipped the event at least once in the last five years and the tournament has been outshined by the NCAA Championships. ?I think what we need to do in wrestling is get emphasis back on the importance of dual meets,? said NCAA wrestling chair Dave Martin, an Algona native. ?I think wrestling has the opportunity to have two highly-successful national-level competitions. ? I don?t think you ever want to lose what we have with the individual tournament, but I do think we really need to keep pushing up the importance of the national dual meets.?
23. Coach Hull, Thanks for the insightful analysis. VERY interesting reading, I appreciate you taking the time for that
