  1. anyone have updates on the North Mont team scores and individual as well?
  2. Costakis also looked tuff he lost a close match.
  3. Graza-Padilla-Berry-Garcia all looked extremely strong! Acuna is still a beast. I have been watching these two teams battle the last 5 years and the question is where are all the Portage starters from last year: there was no Coppinger, Martinez, or Blackwell I dont think these kids graduated yet and they are definitley better than what was put out there at 130-119. We (Pirates) would have still won the dual i believe but it would have been a lot closer.
  4. This Duel is always intense no matter what the outcome is!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. i was at team regionals at Portage and Merrillville had some good looking lower weights that werent there normal starters. they had a kid wrestle hawkins pretty tough. other than that everyone has graduated alot of their starters like you stated. looks like Dogs again this year.
  6. Everyone seems to be tight lipped on this subject so far.
  7. from what i hear Chesterton is on the rise and Portage has graduated many kids last year especially in the upper weights to be a major factor.
  8. This is about as accurate as its going to get. your right on the money.
  9. Mishawaka is to strong, no week spots top to bottom and they havent really been tested yet.
  10. Portage has been Wrestling top 20 teams the whole year, and they have to much experiance. Munster wont be beat as bad as last year, but not close enough to worry about.
  11. Crown Point definitely took care of business today, congrats to the dogs. by the way did you have any consolation results?
  12. wrestling is a very intense sport and sometimes things get out of hand, this year round 1 goes to McMurray. i look forward to seeing this thing play out all the way down state again.
  13. any updates on the consalation matches and team standings when i left Crown point was pulling away from Merriville and Chesterton and Portage where fighting for 3rd.
  14. finals consulation 103 saroof v stevens 112 garcia v ayersman 119 escobedo v hawkins 125 napules v thorton shurg v blackwell 130 tsirtis v kristofus martinez v cross 135 shurg v ? 140 145 roach v ? 152 160 mcmurry v quiroz 171 189 king v kral 215 fisher v 285 travis v thats about all i got i had to leave and go to work sorry i couldnt remember anything more
  15. with 3 teams ranked in the top 10, the coaches are probably "debating" to the last minute on seedings.
  16. It would be nice to finally see some Duneland teams going down there.
  17. Crown Point 35 Portage 26
  18. Since it was expanded to 16 teams in 1992; has any wrestler pinned every one he faced in that day of wrestling?
  19. what ever happened to the 160 lb from Portage last year he was tough, i thought he would have gone 171 this year. Did he graduate?
  20. heard from the grape vine that portage used the freshman jv kid at 125, maybe Martinez got hurt; he probably could have won a tight match there.
