  1. Jason hasn't given up a takedown or reversal in 3 years, so I wouldn't count on that happening.
  2. Fuqua had stiches above his right eye from falling on ice (I believe). From what I understand, that cut started bleeding during the match.
  3. Finals so far: Fuqua beats Buckley Petrov beats Saroff
  4. Why is it ever other coach can throw fits, yell and scream at refs, and no one ever says a word, but when Scott Vlink shows any emotion or gets upset - everyone jumps all over him?
  5. Actually, it was only 1 takedown, 1 escape in the 3rd period and 1 technical violation for fleeing the mat in the 2nd period.
  6. Y2 - He didn't bump up to wrestle the heavyweight - he bumped up to wrestle their real 215 pounder.
  7. Quiroz did not wrestle. Halstead beat Kastaforas.
  8. Frankie Porras from Hobart.
  9. Actually, in 2009 the Region only had 5 champs, and this year they had 6.
  10. No. Also, Not sure if Swope will be back for Semi-State. Not that that would even make a difference. No matter who they put out will get pinned.
  11. Sean: I truly commend you for taking responsibility for your actions instead of making excuses like the others. I for one think that when you win a state championship that you have earned the right to break dance, clothes line your coaches or do a back flip - you've achieved the ultimate goal! I don't even think it's a big deal if you are jawing at another wrestler that has been talking crap to you or about you. My only problem with that situation is that you were disrespectful to a stand full of fans that you want cheering for you on Saturday night at Conseco. Don't go out your senior year with people saying - yeah, he was a great wrestler, but what horrible sportsmanship. You've earned the right to be a little cocky, but don't be disrespectful to adults or fans of other teams.
  12. I could care less if he wins or not, but when he does, do it in style. There was not 1 reason for him to blow a kiss to the CP crowd. They didn't boo him or say 1 word. Even after he blew the kiss, not one CP fan said a word. I know he blew the kiss to the crowd - I was there. It doesn't make it alright. I've been watching wrestling for over 25 years and I very seldom ever saw the best of the best act that way. It was unnecessary and very unclassy - that was the point I was trying to make. His antics will not be missed by many people.
  13. Correct - after Julian got beat, he refused to shake Colton's hand - is that supposed to be OK? That is the upmost disrespect.
  14. Let it go? Only because it's your son we're talking about right?
  15. He was not being booed. Acting that way after beating a freshman? Uncalled for - and you defending him makes you look just as ridiculous as he did.
  16. To be honest with you Mr. McMurray, after seeing Sean's behavior at Team Regionals - blowing a kiss to the CP fans because he pinned a freshman who is in his 3rd year of wrestling and had a record of 11-12 - I'm pretty happy this is your last year too. Go Tyler Willis!!!!!
  17. Surma? You have Surma possibly dominating Roach? Hmmmmm.
  18. CP bumped Tsirtsis to wrestle Acuna, but Portage forfeited 135 and bumped Acuna to wrestle Flamme.
  19. As I said earlier - the 112 pounder just moved to Merrillville from East Chicago - there's 1 just this year. Where did Stevens come from? Did he attend middle school in Merrillville?
  20. Where did Merrillville's 112 pounder come from? Didn't he just move in from East Chicago? I know he's a freshman and it's legal, but a move-in is a move-in. It's funny for anyone from Merrillville to complain about "move-ins". As far as the bonus points swinging the other way next time, the pins came from CP's studs - COULD happen every time. Does Merrillville still think they can compete with Mishawaka?
