Easiest weightclass this year, and hardest?

145 was easy for only one wrestler, nuff said. -
Early eighties, I believe cousins, from FW Snider and Blackford had to wrestle in semis at Semi-State. Only one got to be a state qualifier.

Schrock 160 lbs Lakeland wrestled Jimmy Larowe 152 lbs # 2 East Noble last week. Larowe 7-3 dec. good match

The Bronson coach Al Sosinski, was the Prairie Heights coach till 83 or 84. They have won a state title in Mich., they are down a little this year though. The 215 pounder is Dan Severn's son, State champ last year.

If you start talking about them on here, they aren't going to be "sleepers" anymore.. -
Everyone was given an extra pound plus the states 2 lb allowance, wrestler in question was 1 lb over that. where they thought an extra 2lbs was allowed nobody knows. Anyway the 3 seed lost to him first round, and still finished 3rd. Still not the point, fair is fair. They seed their own tourney and have guidelines, but don't always hold true to them.

Our coach was told at the coaches meeting "we want everyone to wrestle". What about his teammate, what about a seeded wrestler not supposed to be able to change weights, tournament officials allowed it to happen

Saturday at the East Noble Inv., tourney directors allowed a #1 seed that was overweight, move up to the next weight. They rearranged the original weight class, but not the new weight class. He was placed in his schools spot against the # 3 seed at new weight and his teammate was not allowed to wrestle. Fair or unfair

Our school nickname is "LAKERS', in the 70's when I wrestled we used an anchor on our t-shirts and sweatshirts, wrestling was the only sport at Lakeland that used an anchor, so I brought back the anchor when I started coaching there for my son's high school years. Bob Emerick was the origin of the anchor

Has anybody ever heard of "having an off day"? Sometimes it happens, taking three or four on to the next level gives that wrestler a chance to make up for that off day. Injuries happen, sickness happens, you shouldn't be penalized for that....
