  1. Wawasee is ranked #12 also...Wouldn't be surprised to see Center Grove, Northridge, maybe another enter the rankings as well.
  2. Wawasee and Northridge new also
  3. How many medalist did the EC SS have last year? I predict 25 to medal this year.
  4. HAHAHAHA...yeah, who did the new rankings guy wrestle and where?!? I'm kidding...I was confused and when you said "Good effort new guy...can't wait to see how this all plays out." I thought you were referencing Bellamy had a good match with a stud. Sorry about that!
  5. Joe Walker over Laik Minnick at 170. 4-3 in SV1 according to track.
  6. Wawasee with a 39-32 dual victory over Mishawaka. Looked like a good dual. Mishawaka had a good lead and Wawasee got 3 pins and a decision in their last 4 matches to close out the dual
  7. If that's the case then you just need the doctors note, and your kid will not have much wiggle room in order to get his 6 quality weigh ins.
  8. Not just the 2% exception. That form must be filled out by the parents. You'll also need the doctor's note, which essentially says that the kid is healthy and naturally has a low body fat. The 2% form would be beneficial so the kid doesn't have to weight 105.8-105.9-106.0 to get a quality weigh in. It would give them a little wiggle room.
  9. I'll start Tuesday the 20th Prairie Heights vs. Carroll--Should be a nice dual with some interesting match ups.
  10. Can you give a title to each episode? For example : Gorilla Radio Episode 1:Early Surprises and Weight Movement ...etc etc
  11. I'm very disappointed that you guys provide a preseason magazine and have a really cool website. You guys should stop doing rankings and stop producing a magazine for us to read...NOT...It's a NOT joke! Nice job...I've got a copy every year they've been out! Nice work IM Crew.
  12. We have some two a days during breaks, but not often
  13. I get your points. A few points I'd like to mention as a Coach: 1. 10 pounds is not the same on some kids as it is others. A 116 pound kid losing 10 pounds to get to 106 is typically different than a 230 pound kid dropping to 220. 2. Offseason cutting isn't necessary in my mind. 3. Going from football to wrestling kids will often lose 10 pounds naturally. That's not cutting weight. What they do after that could be a weight cut depending on how much they lose. 4. Also the regulations in place are not without flaws. Last year we had a kid who was missing quality weigh ins because he was too light. He had to chug gatorades before weigh ins in order to weigh enough to have a quality weight in. (Yes, I'm aware of the 2% form and that doesn't solve all problems either)
  14. Half of the coaching staff for the 2A front runner Garrett Railroaders
  15. Way too early is right...I'm sure people will shuffle their lineups a time or two with some football programs doing well and their wrestlers having a late start to the season...If we do this after a week of results I think people will have a better idea
  16. Still counting. Not to mention I'm undefeated up in the room...Weighing 220 and wrestling 171 is so much easier
  17. Nick Kraus - Around 263 Wins-Think that puts me at the ole' #1 Spot...of course only 105 of those were in high school, but I didn't see any specifics bud! I counted the couple off season tourneys...college..I'm gonna start adding MMA results too
  18. You've got some points, but I have a very hard time believing "More times than not, the transfer is leaving a good program due to grades, conduct, or, in some cases, tuition." Those cases do happen, but many of the names we see moving in Indiana are moving because they're being recruited, or because the school next door has a more established program.
  19. Team State in classes is fine. I like our individual state finals.
  20. You can only maximize the talent to a certain degree at schools. From a competitive aspect it's frustrating when we lose to teams because they have a couple new wild cards on their team. Look at the top 5 every year at state...How many kids on those teams are transfers? I don't know the number.
  21. No. The styles are different. Our kid just won Freestyle State this year and tech'd or pinned everybody..I promise you he wouldn't tech or pin at least 4 of those kids. He would have competitive matches with all.
