Even with my bad timing of hitting concessions when they get hit hard and ran out, I in no way want to see it move. It's convenient for me living on the east side, and that drive up 41 is no fun. I hope the volunteers that run the Castle regional realize how much everyone appreciates their hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling.

Do tell, I'm genuinely curious now. How have they been going? Besides the team state dual title 2 years ago, their 41st straight sectional championship this year, 7th or 8th straight regional championship this year. Something we don't know about?

Not that I have heard. I heard rumor a year or two ago but it seems to keep coming back. It would stink to lose it, but if we did, I would be able to sit back and enjoy it for a change. It's a lot of work! I will ask my contacts though when I get some time saturday and let everyone know what I hear. On a side note, I definitely try my best to keep the costs down (the ones I can control) as much as possible. We do it with a bare minimum usher and security staff to keep it down.

I'm sure my timing is just off, but every single time I have visited the concession stand at Castle they were out of everything but hot dogs. They usually say something else is coming, so I guess my timing is bad. Frustrating nonetheless.

Got a quick update on the premium loge seating info for the Ford Center. If you spend the $30 and upgrade to a premium loge seat day of, it now includes a $20 food voucher good at concessions instead of $15 like last year. It's a pretty good deal.

I think Joe Lee and Austin Bethel from Mt.Vernon have a decent rivalry. Can't remember if it was last season or the season before that Bethel pinned him. Every match seems to be pretty high energy and fun to watch. -

I have to work a huge women's basketball game here at the Ford Center (maybe 150 people, lol) or else I'd be up there tonight. Did buy the $10 trackwrestling video deal though, so it helps.

What do you guys like to see in the hospitality rooms? Obviously coffee and donuts, but what else? Taking notes for next year. I am not in charge of this dept. but can have a big influence

Lee took him down several times easy (looked easy to me, obviously he's just highly skilled) and turned him one or two times. Can't remember exactly.

I know here at the Ford Center it would not cost the IHSAA any more to add an hour to the day. The event typically ends around 7/7:30pm. If it went until 8:30/9pm it would be no different in what they pay.
