Tough break for Robinson it looked like he should of have those points. On the other hand I don't understand why he kept trying to throw him in the 3rd when the score was tied.

I also thought he was going to take the win. He and the coaching staff earned a lot o respect. I've only seen that happen a couple of times. I hope he is alright and able to compete today. If not congrats on becoming a state placed and showing everyone how much character and integrity you have.

Merrillville got 4 of 7. CP got 3 of 5.

Didn't realize they had other common opponents I know you can't look to much into who beat who as Garza also pinned Hartman. I was just stating that except for the top wrestlers at this weight class she can wrestle with any of them.

That was a great semi-final match with salas and Williams. How many state champs were there?

Prior to this weekend I was not sure if she could've qualified but she definetly earned her ticket. She wrestled hard and could very easily of been in the finals. I think one of the best parts of the day was the standing ovation she recieved after winning her second match. As far as her Friday match a common opponent between them is Garza of Merrillville. Garza beat Lee 4-2 and beat Miracle 5-2. I know you can't read to much in to this but it at least tells you that she has a good chance at placing. And yes she is that good.

I think the overall performance of the officials was a B+. My biggest complaint is not one specific match but the overall inconsistant calls of stalling. Their was two matches right next to each other where one ref called several stallings and the other called one with less than a second left. Some times maybe the draw of your official is also important.

Gallegos did out wrestle the field yesterday. I thought that Kral wrestled very cautious not very many shots. Vs Robinson I don't think that either of them took a shot. And Kral rode him tough I think they both could of been hit a couple of times in the second period.

CP has 5. Merrillville has 7.

Has anyone (coach or school admin) made a genuine proposal to have it moved to their school or another venue? I think that should be the question asked. I know it is big commitment and a lot of responsibility for a team or coach to take.

That would be nice to see as a fan but I don't coach Vink will make that mistake two years in a row.

Also throw in Devin Reagan and Joe Gallegos it's going to be a great semi state at 220.

I was not at the meet but I think this just goes to show the difference between a dual meet team and an individual tournament team. Merrillville has won the Al Smith and the DAC but has lost twice to CP.

I would still wrestle him he is 17 or 18 years old and probably in very good condition I think 1.5 hours of rest is enough to wrestle both matches. If they do sit him out vs. LC do they also forfeit 126 vs. Ayersman
