I understand that this is a Hot topic for you Y2. I saw enough of those posts from the other site. I'm just giving you my point of view. I love no class wrestling and will continue to until the day I Die. Kinda like you with the class thing. lol

Actually to me that is the magic about Indiana High School Wrestling. Someone from one of the smallest competing schools in the state can walk into Conseco and whip everyone. Ryan was an inspiration to everyone in that building on that night. The vast majority of everyone there was cheering for him. Tspray mentioned Milan......yea that is kinda what I meant. You rememebered the name didn't ya. I think the worst thing that could have happened to Indiana Basketball was classes.........and it happened.....and lost some of the Indiana Basketball Glamour. I hope that my son someday can compete against the best in Indiana Wrestling without any potential *'s.

Looks as if Dolly had a rough welcome back to Div. 1 wrestling. Even though his losses were to a couple of studs I hope it is chocked up to rust and he turns it up come March to AA.

Does anyone know what his status is with IU? I'm a huge fan of both he and Coughlin but it seemed kinda clear at the beginning of the season that he was the better wrestler to step on the mat for IU (as much as I wanted a former AA in Coughlin to finally step it up this year and again achieve that status)......Did he lose a wrestle off..injured...other? I was surprised not to see him even enter at the Midlands unattached.

I saw his name in the brackets today for Northern Iowa. Does anyone know if he earned the starting spot for the rest of the season?

I agree AJ. If Reece hadn't been beat at the all star meet I think he is unblemished on the season (I know that result doesn't "actually" count but he got smoked). He just beat the #2 in the country. I see big things for him come march as long as his weight stays in control and his conditioning improves.

Aj that is awesome news. I love watching him compete. I guess the most important thing is that Angel is completely healed up. Also Indianas first match is against Iowa st. Didn't angel beat cyler sanderson when the were in high school? I'm pretty sure I remember that correctly but I could be wrong.

I'm looking forward to Howes match with Sherfy. Sherfy beat tsirtsis at senior nationals in alexs last hs match. Granted the next time the two met alex majored if not teched him.

Is anyone in W Central Indiana still undefeated? Or if one lose....who was it to?

I believe that Angel is 9-0 this year. I've heard that he never had surgery on his injured shoulder after last season and it is still greatly affecting him. Does anyone in the know....know if he is actually done for the year or if he actually is gonna wrestle anymore this year?

Thanks lsk....is that just an opinion or good info? I know hodges wrestled up at folksyle nats and won. I thought that is where he would stay. I was surprised at the start of the season to see him back down at 189.

Results for hoosiers up to 174. It really shows just how tough Div. 1 Wrestling can be. All of these wrestlers were and are bonifide Indiana studs. Galka 1-2 Fleckenstein 0-2 Kelly 5-2 Nice wrestlebacks Hernandez 0-2 Disappointing I thought a bump up in weight would be good Tsirtsis 4-1 Congrats Alex ....... so close. U will be there come Nats Walpole 1-2 Warren 1-2 Lawrence 0-2 Coughlin 2-2 Deutsch 3-2 Nice wrestleback Howe 4-2 Young 3-2 Corpe 2-2 Hinton 0-2 Sorry if I missed some folks..

How are Southmont's wrestlers doing this year? Is Hodges @ 215 for good? I was a bit surprised by his bump.

Thanks AJ. I'm surprised he split with Fay. I thought he would win the rematch. 4th place as a true freshman is nothing to be ashamed of at the Midlands. Congrats Andrew. I know this will fuel you for Nationals.
