171 has three real tough quarter brackets and one so-so quarter bracket. Someone from the Wiseman/Boots: Castner/Howenstein bracket will make the semi's, when the Saturday morning losers from the other three can only wrestle for fifth , at best. Any of those Sat morning losers would have a good shot at the semis if in the aformentioned bracket.

Agreed Boots has a real good shot at Wiseman

Kolb has a tough quarterfinal Sat morning matchup and will probably be wrestling for 5th at best, Willis will have his hands full with Quiroz Sat morning. Reese and Vlahos will be classic, McCray vs. Fudurich/Oliver. 160 has some great Sat morning matchups.

Cant have Willis/Quiroz at 160 or Duckworth/Brandt at 171 as they would be quarterfinal matches Saturday morning

I would agree, as I said on an earlier post 189 is down this year, Atwood is a stud, and no Stevenson. Atwood will Dominate this weekend. And a freshman will finish in the top four.

Without Stevenson around, Atwood will walk through 189. 189 is actually kinda weak overall. Atwood is a stud!

I would have to agree that attendance also seemed down this year in Evansville. It was however a great day of wrestling. -
I would say now with Stevenson out that Atwood wins fairly handily.

This is an absolute shame, Cheney Dale should have easily won the Merrillville Semi State and would've made big noise at Conseco.

Yeah, 4 of the top 7 in the same semi state plus Goldman and Boots, absolutely brutal. Dale, Duckworth and Bratcher are all separated and are probably happy they dont have this dilema.

There are better 71's to knock off Duckworth than Bratcher. Bratcher's thing he's got going for him is coming through Ft Wayne.

What sucks more being a young iswa junior or a senior in high school that is a second year iswa junior? Consider yourself lucky, there are a lot of high school seniors that are barely over a year older than you but are two grades older.

Don't see Dale having much of a problem through Merrilville SS, Evansville 171 is loaded, currently 5 ranked people.

Agreed both matches were great, both should make noise the rest of the year.

I agree with part of this post, Sliga is amazing but with Atwood and Stevenson around his chances are pretty slim. Definately a 2-timer.
