  1. Just throwing this out there but has anyone put any thought into the fact that EMD ony beat Castle by 2 and PM beat Castle by 20 and EMD beat Merriville. PM had a bad match against Mish. and Mish. is that good. But, PM beat Penn by 30 and going into that dual based on matchups against kids who beat mish. kids, PM should have lost. Just a thought.
  2. did BD really beat franklin? Shouldn't BD move into the rankings?
  3. Perry Meridian High School Wrestling Program will be honoring their wrestling Alumni on Jan. 13th. Wednesday. If you wrestled at Perry when you were in high school, Please contact Tara Pierson at busymom55@yahoo.com for more information or send me a message. We would love to have everyone attend if you are able. Its fun to catch up with everyone and listen to those wrestling stories. Perry will be wrestling Cathedral that evening.
  4. Clem won I believe. He was 6-1 but I think still won the weight class.
  5. Junior, 145 lber, Derek Harz from Perry Meridian is 18-3 with two loses coming to Decker of Warren. They have been 4-2 and 4-3. The other loss was 4-3 to Matt Milton. Derek beat Kyle Reidling of New Pal 6-1. Derek has been solid for years losing in some good ISWA matches over the years. Cadet state runner up to Porras, lost a decision last year to Stahl at jr folkstyle. Very solid kid.
  6. PM is 10-0 with wins at CCC and Marion County

  9. Jason Simmons from PM is 9-1 with only loss to Brandon Wright by major. Senior at 125. He has been around. Placed 3rd in jr. freestyle state last year. Pretty solid kid. AAU Disney all american. Last year in the Regionals State Qualifier Seve Duncan of BG beat Jason 6-3 in the first round. Just giving a solid senior some props.
  10. PM vs New Pal or PM vs Roncalli should make the list

  14. Jacob was a stud in Iowa. You made us all at Perry very proud. How about the step brothers Cottey and Lecount back to back weekends, national champs. Also congrats to Aiden Kenney and Matt Kelly, MS all americans. It should be a fun season for PM middle school team.
  15. Sean, Hey stud, all I know is that when we see you in December I am not wrestling you. I dont want to get hurt. Good luck this year. Its been a joy to watch you wrestle, coach you and compete against you over the years. Kick butt, Coach Tonte

Congrats to Perry Meridians 8th Grade, Cody LeCount on winning this outstanding tournament. Way to go Cody!!!
  18. What a great camp this past weekend. We have been to three clinics so far this fall and this was one of the best. The U of I staff did a great job with running a practice type atmosphere. They were well represented with 4 Indiana state champs there, Lynn Panko from Avon, Ethan Harris from Beech Grove, Nick Walpole from Perry Meridian and Matt Irwin from Belmont. Also, studs like multiple placewinners Alex Johns from Evansville Reitz, Casey Kenney from Jay County, State qualifiers Nick Smith from Franklin and Keith Smith from Triton Central as well as others. U of I is on the right track and with some redshirts coming back next year will be a D II program to contend. Thanks U of I and Coach Warthan(DII NCAA All American)

  20. Hobbs, you are a stud. PM wrestling will make a donation. Gibson said he could beat you in the mini marathon but 26 is just too much for him.
  21. It sounds nice for PM, but its a young team this year and with lots of work to do. Many more teams out there with more talent right now then PM.
  22. Roach won the preseason nationals last year. It was a very good tournament. I would say however, Super 32 was tougher.
  23. Yes, there was some good quality. Tassef lost by 2 to Silvestri. Tonte beat a kid from Michigan who was state runner up in the quarters and then lost to the champ who was state runner up from Idaho in OT in the semis. Mckinley beat a guy ranked 3rd in the country at the time. Good comp, well ran.
