  1. What weight and how did Chandler Pogue do at this tournament?

  3. What a great couple of days of wrestling. Being an alumni from Mooresville it was great to see Hacker, Juliano and Swigert, where did he come from.......WOW. This was one of the best ran tournaments that I have ever been to. Great job Mooresville. You could make this the biggest tournament during Christmas break in the state..... I had the great pleasure of standing next to the coach that was filming all of Yorktowns' matches for two days and Mr. Mosier, though very intense, was a very class act just like his son Kyle. Unfortunate for me I got to see Kyle whip up on my nephew at Freestyle State last year even though my nephew threw him for a five and it didn't get counted..... I wish Kyle and all of the Yorktown wrestlers all the best luck in the future until you come back to Mooresville next year....lol..... Keep up the good work Hack, Joey, Jake and those Gibson boys. See you guys at Regionals....
  4. The Hendricks County Flyer has been horrible at covering wrestling this year. It seems to me that they would rather cover court records and food rather than covering the toughest sport around. These kids deserve a little more than that........ Come on Hendricks Co. Flyer................

  6. I think that Jordan Judy is probably the most overlooked kid in the state....103 from Danville.... Ryan Kolb and Bealmear from Tri-West are very under-ranked as well. Blaine Hall is down to 112 and doing very well as you will see at Mater Dei. Who is the kid from Noblesville at 145? Speck? Something like that....Where did he come from? Wouldn't it be great to see Vlhose and Alfs going at it in the finals at semi-state?
  7. Do you know what time and who will be there?
  8. Any info on this? One or two day?
  9. I heard that wrestling will start at 10 a.m. That is when it started the last two years. The second day starts at 8:30
  10. Who all will be at Ben Davis this weekend? Is it a one or two tournament? Dual or Individual?
  11. What I meant is that Tim Wright is such a good coach that he will have Brandon right back in step for his next step. Who wouldn't want Wright coaching? He has obviously done a great job so far and I am sure that he will for a long time to come.
  12. How about Rassbach over Goodwin last weekend?
  13. I think that the GPA award should be given out at every tournament.
  14. Come on. Give him a chance. He has only been there a couple of years and is doing a pretty good job. Put yourself in his shoe's for just a minute. Think of what he does, sacrifice what he does to try to make a team as good or better than what it has been. Shame on you, shame on you for calling any coach an idiot....meaning if you didn't know "An extremely foolish or stupid person". Who is the idiot now??????? These guys and girls give up most of their free time away from their families to educate, help and teach our children the values of life, morals and discipline that most of them are lacking at home these days. How in the world could you make a statement like that on here. Keep your own selfish thoughts to yourself. Just an opinion, you may fit the definition of an idiot for making comments like that. For all you coaches out there, keep up the great work that you do for our children and may God Bless You and your Loved Ones. And may God Bless you Old 82 Merry Christmas
  15. Just an opinion but I think that you are missing a few kids here. Garrett Smith and Guernsey from Cascade Judy and Mckinney from Danville Kolb and Mocherman from Tri-West Howland, Fuller and Oaks, A.Giles from Brownsburg Acosta, Rassbach, Maxwell, Alfs from Avon Hacker, Juliano and possibly Bailey from Mooresville Parrish and Heald from Plainfield I am not saying they will all make through semi-state but they should all make it there and have a good chance at advancing.
  16. 103 Davis (Z) wins by forfeit 112 Fitzgerald (A) over Escobar (Z) 18-9 119 Hall (A) over Biddle (Z) by pin 125 Walbridge (Z) over Cundiff (A) 6-2 130 Acosta (A) over Stachler (Z) 3-2 135 Rassbach (A) over Simpson (Z) by pin 140 Youngs (Z) over Maxwell (A) 3-2 145 Richards (A) over Sease (Z) 11-8 152 Brogden (Z) over Alfs (A) 4-2 160 Jones (A) over Murphy (Z) by pin 171 Howenstein (Z) over Brandt (A) 2-1 189 Leach (A) over Pedigo (Z) by pin 215 Pirtle (A) over Mason (Z) 10-6 285 Damm (Z) over Paugh (A) by pin
  17. Randy Qualitza in my opinion was a great coach though he threw me up against a wall in wood shop my freshman year because I wouldn't do push-ups in his class. Then everything changed from his class to the Principle's office.....I couldn't win. My mom was going to kick his butt and dad talked her out of it......My how times have changed.....and I deserved the ass beating I got. By the way, what happened to the days that a coach would throw a chair and scream at the ref? Quadzilla was good at it. Personally, I think that Jim Tonte at Perry Meridian is the best. He is very professional and you very seldom see him get out of shape over a call. Gee, why does he keep having a returning team to State every year? Lance Ellis? He will have Roncalli over the top in a couple of years. He is at all the summer matches with the young kids every weekend. Just watch and see that dedication pay off. My other vote will go to Martinsville's coach Lee Liden. He has a few studs down there. The one thing that I have noticed is that everyone that comes off the mat get's coached. Win or loss. His assistants do not tolerate unsportsman like conduct and are all class acts.
  18. By the way coach, the little guy on my avitar will be in your club next year. Rodd's little nephew and if he is anything like he was tonight we better have mats on the walls. Scott will be there next year, won't he? He is great with the kids.
  19. You are right. 103 has been tough on Avon this year. I think though if 4 of the guys would have came back this year Avon would have been back to team state this year.
  20. Howland and Richey are a given and Fuller, McHugh, Hechinger and Oaks are going to have a good day also. Bealmear and Kolb from Tri West. Garrett Smith, Arnes and Guernsey from Cascade will be tough to beat. Acosta, Hall, Rassbach, Maxwell, Richards, Alfs, Jones, Brandt, Leach will be real tough to beat. Judy and McKinney from Danville are going to be very tough. Parrish, Loughlin and Tackett from Plainfield should be tough and I haven't seen Heald wrestle yet. What happened to Markovich? Is he not wrestling this year?
  21. I think that it might be time to start giving another freshman some consideration at 152. Anthony Quiroz from Chesterton had 5 pins over the weekend and was a kid that gave Tyler Willis a tough time at Middle School State last year. If I am not mistaken, Tyler pinned Sliga and Quiroz beat Sliga to make it to the finals. Quiroz is the only person that I have personally seen have Willis on his back but Willis got out of it and beat him I believe 7-5.
  22. Tim Wright will fix that stuff on the way home.
