  2. 55 kg - Is Cejudo really back? If not, give me Angel over Simmons and Blanc 60 kg - No Hump or Bunch. I guess I'll go with Coleman Scott over the college kids (Russell, Oliver, and Steibler) 66 kg - This class is loaded. Ware vs. Metcalf should be a barnburner. Is Schlatter going 66 kg? They have him listed at 74 kg. He could make it even more interesting. 74 kg - Hope Howe wins but it's all Burroughs. Should be an exciting weight class though. 84 kg - Herbert 96 kg - Varner 120 kg - Dlagnev

  4. Depends on Fargo and Super32 next Fall
  5. Tsirtsis dominated with that single, plus one nice boot scoot.
  6. When is Jimtown's spring break? Will the room be closed down that week?
  7. Link to Jared's match: http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/248585-2012-Dapper-Dan/video/623515-113-lbs-match-Billy-Rappo-PA-vs-Jarred-Brooks-IN He dominated despite what the score indicates. Rappo looked tired. His boot scoot and super duck were nasty. Couldn't find Jason's match on Flo.
  8. 1. Sliga 2. Micic 3. Molloy 4. Boston 5. James 6. Bradley 7. Forte 8. Stevenson 9. LeCount 10. Crume
  9. Of course they don't want to do what's in the best interest of the kids. They want to do what's in their best interest. Feels like more political junk. How did these individuals get chosen for these postions? You should have to be re-elected.
  10. The bulk of those came from the top 2 weight classes which probably happens either way.
  11. The guys at Flo said Rey's takedown in OT was questionable. Anyone see it?
  12. 3rd or 4th? He finished 2nd last year in arguably a tougher weight class. (Todd, Petrov, and Phillips)
  13. More like "IHSWCA Super Dual Champs"
  14. Saw this topic mid-season. Has people's opinions changed since the State Finals? My list at mid-season: 1. Tsirtsis 2. Sliga 3. Jackson 4. McKinley 5. Brooks 6. Ayersman 7. Todd 8. Phillips 9. Willis 10. Mullins My new list: 1. Tsirtis 2. Sliga 3. Ayersman 4. Brooks 5. Jackson 6. Petrov 7. McKinley 8. Todd 9. Phillips (wish we wouldn't have gotten injured) 10. Micic
  15. My mistake, I forgot about the 4th wildcard. Still, I think it's going to happen at some point -- where a top team is not invited to the IHSWCA Super Duals.
  16. What is Sessions 3 on Sunday at 1 PM? Is that a placement round or the semi-finals?
  17. If in 5 years or so, this change leads to a classed team state recognized by the IHSAA, I think it will be worth it. If we never get it back in any form, I would prefer non-classed team state recognized by the IHSAA.
  18. While I appreciate the hard work that went into the formula, I don't think it can be viewed as a true championship since not every team has an opportunity. At some point, one of the best teams in the state will not be invited to this event. I know how people will respond "it's impossible to do right now" and "we can grow this event in the future". For example, what if Penn is one of the best 3-4 teams in the state next year (any class). They've already been locked out of the event. Bellmont is losing a lot of studs this year, but I would never bet money against that team reloading. Yet, according to the "Official Qualifying Scores" they aren't being considered for the 3rd wildcard in 2A.
  19. I agree that it will be exciting and probably the toughtest regular season super dual. It will go up there with other regular season events such as Al Smith, Connversville, Bellmont Duals, Traicoff, etc. Also, if it gets us back to a sanctioned IHSAA team state tournament, even better. I just don't like calling the winner of the IHSWCA event the State Champions. Just because people want it to be true, doesn't make it true. I don't like the fact that Team State Champions will be most points scored at Individual State either, but that's the system we have been forced in to.
  20. So to be clear, you will recognize Minnesota as the National Champs this year, despite what happens in a few weeks and despite Penn State not competing, right? It's the same situation as this. Also, how many teams get to say they are state champs? Is it going to be like college football with a split state championship, the IHSAA and IHSWCA?
  21. Isn't this a mythical championship though? Not one recognized by the IHSAA. Just because Minnesota won the National Duals doesn't make them the National Champions.
  22. I would guess that since Boston and Micic are both serious about wrestling in college, they would slowly start moving their way up towards 126 (see Ayersman, Kyle).
  23. Probably the only three I disagree with: Petrov was simply nasty this year at the State Finals. This year's version of Petrov might've beaten Ayersman. I think this year's McKinley beats last years Molloy. They wrestled about dead-even this year and Molloy was better this year (despite the end result) I would take Stein over Lynde.
  24. How did Lance Ellis do in National Tournaments?
  25. EMD vs. Bellmont. Love this matchup based on history, fanbases, wrestling, etc. Glad we get to see it one more time.
