  1. You did a good job up until predicting state champs - it is very obvious that you are NOT from the Region - you picked 1 champ from up here. Roach and Shrewsbury and not going to lose this year.
  2. What is up with his shoulder? Should he even be wrestling? I feel bad for the kid - staying nearly undefeated until his senior year. I hope the Cashe loss didn't mess him up.
  3. Fabio - I can't believe I'm going to agree with you, but I'd do the same.
  4. How does anyone in Indiana know how "difficult" the Ohio tournament is? Maybe if a Mishawaka, PM or CP goes, they would walk right thru it too.
  5. This is an honest question: How does MD get over CP? CP has more ranked wrestlers than they do. Head to head - I take CP.
  6. I 3rd that - Nelson only beat Hawkins one time.
  7. Tsirtis has wrestled Cashe, Napules and Wright, they are all upper classmen, so he's definitely my #1.
  8. Sorry - my opinion is no one will be Mishawaka this year. They are pretty solid all the way thru. If CP bumped, I think it would be alot closer than at the Traicoff, but the coach probably won't do it. It's his "thing".
  9. I agree with Jimtown. If Harper was injured, you would've never know it. It was a great match by 2 excellent wrestlers.
  10. A "Bulldog" is not an illegal hold.
  11. I think a greatest is when Larimore was announced during the finals, and tripped over the mat almost crushing his coaches.
  12. I believe his name was Jeff Aaron from Chesterton.
  13. Let's face it though, Napules got very lucky that he even made it to state. He's probably the only wrestler to make it to state after getting pinned in the ticket round, but because of the persistence of his coach, he convinced the official to rule "out of bounds". Tsirtis was in control that whole match, and that's how I see it going next time too.l
  14. No - Tsirtis and Manes will both win again. I know there are alot of Napules lovers, but Tsirtis is the real deal.
  15. I don't believe they are in order - I think he is saying the 3 POSSIBLE contenders. Don't be so paranoid!
  16. Crown Point has 4 - Anthony Hawkins at 112, Eric Roach at 135, Mark Myers at 160 and Marcus Shrewsbury at 189.
  17. After this weekend, this match would be even more intriguing. The frosh is an excellent wrestler, and not afraid of anyone. He impressed the heck out of me after only losing by 1 point to a senior who is a state champion. We are talking about a 4 year age difference. I say the match between Tsirtis and Quoiroga could go either way next time. Is Harper even going 125, or should we just stop talking about this matchup?
  18. I'm not trying to fire up the down southers, but why is MD so high? Mishawaka is definitely #1, but I would think that either CP or Cathedral at #2.
  19. I don't think that Tsirtsis will win, but I don't think that he would get pinned by Harper. Wasn't Harper a freshman at one point and won all his matches? Obviously. It's not impossible for Jason to win. I feel sorry for Jason, he is definitely under the microscope.
  20. OK people - I put the 3 than OTHERS. I'm not going to name each and every single person that is more exciting to watch than Harper. I was just making a point that Harper isn't the most exciting 3 timer. You are right Alex, Angel and Howe destroyed most people that they wrestled which proved they are the best.
  21. Harper is a smart wrestler, but certainly not a fun one to watch. When I think of a great wrestler, I think of Angel, Andrew, Alex - others that wrestled and won with ease, not having to stall to win a match. You can't say he doesn't stall because he gave up 2 stalling points in the finals against Porras. That is not exciting wrestling from a 3 timer.
  22. Tsirtis would not get pinned by Harper.
  23. I undestand this is about opinions, but Napules? C'mon - I take Cashe. By the end of the last season, he certainly didnt look like a wrestler that would get pinned by Harper.
