  2. I usually keep my head gear, sweat pants, gatorade, ipod, and money in my backpack. or anything else i might need in between matches. That way i don't have to fight the crowd to get back to my seat. Everything i need is on my back. Very convenient.
  3. As a wrestler i don't want class wrestling at the individual level. If i were to win a state title i would want to believe i was the best in the state. However, i wouldnt be able to because there would be other wrestlers at my weight who won state titles also. And, certainly they would also believe they were the best in the state. So, in order for me to know i am the best i must wrestle against all of the competition or else my state title doesn't mean anything. It would be pointless to put forth so much effort for something that doesn't mean anything. I pity the state champs in states with class wrestling, because they will never know truely if they were indeed the best in there state.
  4. There always seems to be a couple upsets in the ticket round every year, and kids that deserve to go to the show have to watch from the stands. What are some of the biggest upsets you can remember?

  7. Coach Steve Balash of Hobart is a member of the hall of fame, has over 200 dual meet wins, teaches kids how to be model citizens as he is a model citizen himself. He follows the rules to there fullest extent in all situations, and has also produced multiple state champions and collegiate wrestlers. He definately wins my vote for best coach in the state.

  9. haha i never thought of it that way, wahoo to you Im gonna say hobart gets one cause no school has coaches quite as big as their's.
  10. 125: Camacho Hobart; don't count him out
  11. Really! 4-5 pages of girls basketball?? Sorry AJ, I exaggerated. 3 or 4.
  12. Wrestling coverage is awful but there is always 4 or 5 pages of girls basketball coverage.
  13. Biddles Fall over Samuels followed by a back flip. That was intense.
  14. But only two came up through the crown point wrestling club.
  15. Haha. Yeah. ya got me on that one. Five state rings*
  16. Never count merrillville completely out. Coach Maldonaldo over there is pretty good and he has made good teams out of no where before.
  17. Great job RankingsGuy. Your the man. Way better than indianawrestler rankings. This site is huge for indiana wrestling.
  18. Jason and Josh are both great wrestlers. But, Jason wins his matches on his feet by getting takedowns, and Josh wins by riding and not getting takendown ever. If they were to wrestle, which i highly doubt will happen, first period goes 0-0, second goes 1-0 josh escapes, and third goes 1-0 jason is rode out. Harper wins his fourth state title just like he won his last three; boring but effective. The fans will be upset and they'll call him the worst four timer ever, but honestly i doubt josh will care at all. He will be too tired from lugging around those four state rings.
  19. I think Napules wins this matchup, But Jason will win at DAC after some gameplanning and practice time. This is gonna be a great rivalry all year, with them meeting what, four times?
  20. Hey, Don't worry Macdaddy. It should only be a short matter of time before Sean breaks his phone. Then you don't have to worry about him playing on his phone during school.
  21. So Roach was at 35 at stagg. Does that mean there is no chance at a Sandefur Roach matchup at The Traicoff? That would be worth the drive and the admission right there.
  22. Re: Chris Traicoff Draw is Here !! ? Reply #15 on: December 09, 2008, 06:17:09 AM ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think the world is patiently waiting, whether it's this weekend or not, for a match-up between Crown Point and Mishawaka. Though I am a coach, I am also a fan of these two great programs and a little bored at work. These predictions are based on line-ups from this past weekend (Mish at Plymouth and CP at Stagg). 103: Cameron Halsted (CP) dec. Lyman Stoneburner (M) 3-0 112: Anthony Hawkins (CP) maj. dec. Taylor Wisler (M) 7-0 119: Matt Guerra (M) dec. Josh Manes (CP) 7-3 125: Jason Tsirtsis (CP) fall Nick Schrader (M) 13-3 130: Josh Harper maj. dec. Dallas Schurg (CP) 13-7 135: Eric Roach (CP) maj. dec. Tyler Reinoehl (M) 17-7 140: Steve Sandefer (M) maj. dec. Josh Flamme (CP) 17-11 145: Alex White (M) dec. Nick Bruno (CP) 17-14 152: Tim Forte (M) dec. Jeremy Pogorzelski (CP) 17-17 160: Mark Meyers (CP) fall Richard Morin (M) 23-17 171: Joey Smith (M) dec. Jeremy Kooi (CP) 23-20 189: Marcus Schrewsbury (CP) fall Dustin Boyd (M) 29-20 215: Christian Lentz (M) dec. Jim Bakalik (CP) 29-23 285: Darius Cooley (M) dec. Kyle Marshall (CP) 29-26 Mish wins 8, CP wins 6... CP wins 29-26. Just one fan's opinion! I think Sandefur pins Flamme, and Harper pins Schurg. I've wrestled all four and its just my opinion. But that would put mishawaka up 30-29. Anyway you look at it though, this is a great matchup. I can't wait for saturday.
  23. Good Post Sean. Might be the smartest thing i've ever heard you say. P.S. I hate basketball too.
  24. Posted on: Today at 09:02:13 AMPosted by: Y2CJ41 Insert Quote The IndianaMat.com rankings are totally different. And much better and accurate according to weight classes anyways.
  25. Hobart: Brennan cosgrove. only won 1 title but Placed 3rd 2nd 2nd 1st and holds record of career wins for the school at 174. Galka and Ramos had more titles but i still think it goes to Brennan. maybe in two years time it will be porras.
