    I had an official tell me this year that if it involved the safety of one of the participants that I, as one of the coaches, should walk onto the mat. I asked about coaches misconduct and he told me that it wouldn't be if it involved the safety or well being of the participants.

    Last night coaching a middle school meet. One of our newer wrestlers is trying to fight off of the bottom and is near our corner facing myself and the other coach. He looks up and states, in the middle of the action, "I don't like crossfaces". My co coach and I looked at each other and began laughing, it was difficult to stop.

    Dakota Anderson 112 Tri-Central is 30-8 there was a mistake on the sectional brackets for his record he was 27-6 going into sectional. It was my mistake in printing up records.

    Being a coach as well as a parent of a Senior, I have to say this is a sad prospect. I have been coaching youth, MS and now helping with HS for the better part of my Senior's life. It has been an Honor to be able to be with him and see him develop and improve, not only as an athlete, but as a person. I am proud to say I am his Father!! I will miss watching him compete(unless he does in college), but I will always know that wrestling has helped him to become the man that he is becoming. Keegan has taken an interest in helping others learn the sport and wants to go into coaching/teaching. Jeff Pyke
