There seems to be some discrepencies here over what is posted in the results section. Anyone know the real results?
  2. CG 36 HSE 23 Looks like there should be some adjustments to the team rankings next go around.
  3. All you southerners that didn't pick Mappes to win 170 are in for a schooling.
  4. 160 4-1 Underwood 170 Mappes by fall
  5. I feel bad for you Spencer and I'm a CG fan. Was looking forward to a good rematch between you and Warner. However, I also heard you didn't make weight on two different scales. Is this true? Good luck with what ever action you and your team take to resolve this as you should be heading back this weekend. There's a good lesson to be learned here.
  6. Very exciting match. I don't have all the results, but here are the notable wins for CG. Anthony Schoettle over Barry McGinley by fall Zach Hays over Conner James 4-2
  7. No, you are not wrong. Good meet. I noticed both teams missing a couple key figures which surely would have changed the score.
  8. Congrats to Sean Mappes on winning the Outstanding Wrestler for the tourney.
  9. Here are the finals. Don't beat me up if I have a mistake. 106 ER Kuhn over Zionsville Mantel 6-1 113 CG Schoettle over BB Swaso 14-3 120 ER Johns over BB Arnold Fall 126 ER Vanhook over BB Thomas Fall 132 ER Moody over Moorsville Swigart 6-1 138 CG Hayes over Bryant Mooresville Fall 145 FC Bolin over CG Trulock 6-4 152 ER Rueger over WB Mccloskey 3-1 160 Carmel Krege over FC Clough 5-0 ?? 170 CG Mappes over BB Houston 21-5 182 Moorsville Smith over Zionsville Conner ?? 195 Carmel Bauer over ER Carter Fall 220 ER Schnarr over BB Stinnett 3-2 285 FC Cook over BB Mallory ??
  10. I have him down as losing to Mooresville in the final.
  11. Alot of good matches today. Many of the best were in the first or second round and not the finals because of the blind draw. IMO, the best match of the day was Mappes and King @170 in the second round. Mappes won in OT 6-4. Awesome display gents.
  12. Are the brackets still a blind draw? Last year there were several "main events" in the first round.
  13. Yes, great match, Underwood won but I don't have the score. I remember it being close.
  14. Mappes vs Underwood @ 170 was a great match. Underwood is in the 182 rankings. Is he going 170 the rest of the year? Fiddler and Mappes was also a barn burner. Good matches today.
  15. You were appologizing in your last post about not questioning the integrity of the CG wrestling team and now it looks like you're back at it. Were you in Bloomington today to see the bandages (tape), shoulder support and the doctors release for these wrestlers? If not, keep your fingers away from the keyboard and concentrate on your own team.
  16. Any information on start times would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  17. Brock Warner from Center Grove takes down another top ten ranked 171 pounder and still can't make the rankings. Brock took down #7 Underwood 6-0 today after he took down #8 last week by fall. Nice work "Nelson". ;D
  18. Agreed. This isn't the first ranked wrestler that Brock has taken down. And to boot, he also took #5 Mike Smith in the finals to his back. He lost 8-12. Not too shabby for an unranked baby face. ;D
  19. Is this a popularity poll? This list doesn't seem to have much reflection on the head to head competition that has already taken place. I.e. Center Grove over Franklin 41-12. Good thing IndianaMat is on top of things!!
  20. When might the brackets be posted?? thanks
  21. CG over Whiteland 80-0 CG over Greenwood 63-6 CG over Franklin 41-12 CG over Indian Creek 58-18 Knura and Van Horn from Franklin were not there. Individual Champs Please add or correct if I'm wrong 103 Lykins Franklin 112 Schoettle CG 119 Carmichael CG 125 Dusty Kief Franklin 130 Mike Petrole Franklin 135 Raley IC 140 Hayes CG 145 Zane Ping Greenwood 152 Hayes CG 160 Mappes CG 171 Warner CG 189 Stevenson IC 215 Stone CG 285 Stevenson IC
  22. CG over Whiteland 80-0 CG over Greenwood 63-6 CG over Franklin Comm 41-12 CG over Indian Creek 58-18 CG Individual Champs 112 Anthony Schoettle 119 Nathan Carmichael 140 Zach Hayes 152 Spencer Hayes 160 Sean Mappes 171 Brock Warner 215 Damian Stone Hopefully I didn't miss anyone.
  23. Dave was remarkable. I personnally had about 15 matches against Dave during AAU freestyle competition while we were both in high school out in California. Lost all of them. I considered him a friend through competition and he would always have this smirk on his face when we had a match. He quite often would offer you his leg and would not make a move until you took it. Then the fireworks started. Even in high school he was a very gracious person but always serious about his mat work. Good people. Very sad about what happened. curt
  24. This seems to come up every year. Very simple.......its personal preference and in no way should be considered classless. !!!!!!!! The wrestlers normally shake the coaches hand at the end of the dual anyway. So why do it twice? There is no disrespect intended and should not be taken that way. Might be against tradition, but thats all.
