  1. If my math is wrong blame my calculator, not me. If the world was fair/equal the following %'s would be a good measuring tool: Each Regional would have 1.25 STATE RANKED teams, Perry Regional exceeds the average by 140% Each Regional would have 17.5 kids STATE RANKED wrestlers, Perry regional exceeds the average by 47.06%. Each weight class would have 1.25 STATE RANKED wrestlers, Perry regional exceeds the average by 42.86% Each Regional would have 7.5625 wrestlers with STATE FINALS EXPERIENCE, Perry regional exceeds the average by 32.23% 9 out of the 14 weight classes are ABOVE AVERAGE in terms of ranked wrestlers I would agree ontherise219, if you are looking purely at rankings & %'s the Perry Regional is loaded. ** Huge benefit of watching the Perry Regional, outside of the talent on the mat, is the ability to purchase Sausage Gravy & Biscuits at the venue.

  3. Just noticed this....I will get the data out for Perry & Mooresville sometime in the next 24 hours or as soon as the Rankings are on the website again.
  4. They are up on TrackWrestling.
  5. At Southport #12 Frank Hammonds (Perry Meridian) lost in the semi-finals to Spencer Fears (Roncalli)
  6. Yeah dropping 1 weight down to face the #1 kid in the State is a no-brainer! ?
  7. I don't have time to do all 32, sorry. I listed them in order of Sectional -- Avon, Southport, Griffith 103 - #4 Montgomery vs #5 Cottey vs #1 Moran 113 - #11 Conley vs #3 Lowery vs # 14 Hegedus 120 - #7 Campbell vs #2 Fair vs #4 Triana 126 - #1 Garcia vs #3 Viduya vs #4 Poynter 132 - #6 Kreitzer vs #4 Freije vs Unranked 138 - #2 Mulkey vs #7 Moore vs #5 Rumph 145 - #11 Conley vs #9 Servies vs #1 McIntosh 152 - #1 Lee vs #19 Warren vs #3 Washington 160 - #18 Osho vs #12 Davis vs #8 Colza 170 - #3 Brewer vs #1 Warren vs #2 Fattore 182 - #1 Walton vs #16 Below vs #17 Torres 195 - Unranked vs #6 Hansen vs #11 Fowler 220 - #11 Aiken vs #12 Hammonds vs 14 Swopes 285 - #4 Peterson vs Unranked vs Unranked
  8. But he is NOT the #1 seed -- I was keeping it easy for all.

  11. I do feel like having the 'foot race' lends itself to more people during warm-ups, the WAVE, more concession revenue, and just excitement in the building. Otherwise you could be showing up 3 mins before the 1st match trying to find their seats blocking the view of others.
  12. That is valid, I don't disagree with your analysis. Unfortunately until the Regionals and SS are complete there is no way to judge a Sectional based on your theory. I believe last year someone (it may have been me) did a calculation detailing where the SS and State kids wrestled for their Sectional. With that said if an average Sectional feeds into poor Sectional they will get many kids to SS but lose, so even that analysis has flaws. I won't be callous and type an example but I can guarantee you there are a few Sectionals in this State that will advance many kids to SS for this reason. This has nothing do with the strength of their Sectional but more to the point their Regional was extremely weak. In the end I go with the eye test .... Avon 1st, Southport 2nd.
  13. Multiple ranked kids with multiple ranked teams is a clear indication of Sectional strength. Zero chance Delta was the top Sectional last year. Granted it appears they had at least 5 good kids but to me that does not speak about the totality of strength. I reviewed the Delta Sectional last year, see below: 16. Delta (10) | 9 am ET | Results Cowan, Daleville, Delta, Monroe Central, Muncie Central, Randolph Southern, Wapahani, Wes-Del, Winchester, Yorktown Yorktown was/is a good program, and Maddox/Gray were very good wrestlers but the overall depth did not compete with the better Sectionals last year. Come on man!!
  14. If you go to Rankings and click on a ranking you can locate any team in the State with a little effort. Once you find the team it will show you the wrestlers who are ranked, the team record as well as on the right hand every team in their sectional. it is really easy to click each team to figure out #'s I posted. Maybe next year they can add REGIONAL & SEMI-STATE sec tions so it will be easy to see all ranked kids for each. Here is the link for Brownsburg in case some of you don't know where this information is at --
  15. In this case it is a POUND sign, not a hashtag....I called it a pound several times and was ridiculed by my daughter.
  16. Avon Sectional has the following: Brownsburg (TEAM IS RANKED) - Montgomery (State #4 - 106), Campbell (State #8 - 120), Mills (State #7 - 126), Kreitzer (State #6 - 132), Mulkey (State #1 - 138), Asbury (State #14 - 145), Lee (State #1 - 152), Walton (State #1 - 182), Aiken (State #11 - 220), Peterson (State #4 - 285) Avon (TEAM IS RANKED) - Conley (State #10 - 113), Rioux (State #7 - 120), Garcia (State #1 - 126), Reynolds (State #12 - 132), Miranda (State #11 - 138), Conley (Semi #2 - 145), Osho (State #16 - 160), Brewer (State #3 - 170), Conde (State #19 - 182), Williams (State #17 - 285) Plainfield - Allen (State #16 - 103), Burden (State #20 - 132) Danville - Boe (State #12 - 120) Greencastle - Thomas (Semi #6 - 160) STATE RANKED WRESTLERS = 22 SEMI-STATE RANKED WRESTLERS = 24
  17. It is a good thing I have retired 2x and I am sitting on a couple of million in my 'SPENDING' account.....NOT. Given I am very familiar with the Avon Sectional, I am going to do it now. I am sure it will be impressive.
  18. Southport Sectional has the following: Perry Meridian (TEAM IS RANKED) - Cottey (State #5 - 106), Kung (Semi #7 - 113), Fair (State #3 - 120), Zepeda (Semi #7 - 132), Lowery (Semi #8 - 138), A. Warren (State #11 - 145), Servies (State #8 - 152), Davis (State #13 - 160), N. Warren (State #1 - 170), Below (State #10 - 182), Lane (State #15 - 195), Hammonds (State #12 - 220) Roncalli (TEAM IS RANKED) - Lowery (State #3 - 113), Viduya (State #3 - 126), Freije (State #4 - 132), Miller (Semi #8 - 145), Mahan (State #10 - 170), Hansen (State #7 - 195) Beech Grove - Smiley (State #6 - 126), Moore (State #7 - 138), Greene (Semi #7 - 285) STATE RANKED WRESTLERS = 16 SEMI-STATE RANKED WRESTLERS = 21
  19. 106 - Cottey, Pardue (only 4 wrestlers entered) 113 - Lowery, Kung 120 - Fair, Slivka 126 - Viduya, Smiley (Great matchup) 132 - Freije, Zepeda (Could be close given lack of matches for Freije) 138 - Moore, Lowery (Keeney a close 2nd) 145 - Servies, Miller 152 - Warren, Moore 160 - Davis, Smith 170 - Warren, Mahern (Great matchup) 182 - Fries, Below (upset special) 195 - Hansen, Higgs (I know Lane beat Higgs 3-0 at County) 220 - Hammond, Adame (I don’t know Adams but Frye was 6th at County so I don’t see an upset in the semi’s) 285 - Greene, Rodgers
  20. I was told Cayden Rooks did not weigh in, Graham Rooks beat Kreitzer 6-3 and Combest beat Mulkey in UTB.
  21. Lane would have had the pin if ref didn't stop the match for PD 12-9 Lane (PM) over Glaze (B-burg) 3-0 Falcons Hammonds (PM) vs Aiken (B-burg)
  22. Same, right now I get the "cannot load M3U8: 404 Not Found
