  1. Who's this Metcalf guy? Coming on strong from out of nowhere.
  2. They have alot of those (trolls) on that site. willyman57, that guy is a piece of work.
  3. COME ON XCARD!!! It's common knowledge that you spell it Buldawgz not Buldawgs.
  4. I think it would be beneficial to move the team series before the individual series. Forget for a second how this would be done, and just ask yourself if it would be more beneficial? I think for most wrestlers/fans, Individual State is the finale of the season not Team State (which I can understand). Once Individual State is over, most people are ready to take a break and turn off their "wrestling mode" mindset. So if you move Team State before Individual State. Everyone is still in "wrestling mode," and it's feasible to have more of a fan turnout. Just my 2 cents. If you agree with this, then the question becomes. How do go about moving the team series before the individual series?
  5. Hopefully this is a sign of the growing strength of multiple teams, and not relying on just one team (Mater Dei) to represent Indiana year in and year out.
  6. I gave up on watching it and am just listening to it now. No breaking up with the listening part.
  7. It's not even loading for me either.
  8. Wow, I wish my team could be like Castle and beat a nobody like Mater Dei. Well I was following their first encounter during the season on here and this is my opinion. From what I was reading, Mishawaka was missing a couple of their starters. On top of that, Harper got stuck and Mishawaka still pulled out the win. Not suggesting he just got caught or whatever. Just saying that I would be hard-pressed to think that Harper would get stuck again (or lose for that matter), even with his injury. So I think Perry had the perfect storm for a win during the season and couldn't pull it out. So I'm going with Mishawaka if they wrestled. Just my opinion.
  9. Well if your going to use that example, then I'd argue that the state finals wouldn't be a good way of determing the better wrestler either. Considering Wright had beaten Eppert like 6 times (?) in a row and hadn't lost to him all year. Upsets happen during the high school season just the same as in the spring and summer. Wright winning a cadet title and not a state title (this year) only proves how tough Indiana wrestling is and more specifically 119, not that summer wrestling is less meaningful.
  10. Howe might have a future in this sport.
  11. Uh why not? Ever heard of the saying, "summer wrestling makes winter champions?" Ask college coaches if they put any stock into summer wrestling and Fargo results.
  12. These are Harper's margins of victory at state over his career according to IHSAA.org. Judging by the numbers, if he's not getting the pin, it'll end up being a minor decision. Also Porras, who is better than Harper this year, only beat Seitz 5-1 at state. Freshman fall 1:43 4-1 4-2 6-3 Sophomore fall 0:38 2-0 6-1 7-4 Junior 7-0 fall 2:17 4-2 3-2 Senior 8-2 3-1
  13. - "What do you mean, you people?" - "What do YOU mean, you people?"
  14. I agree, but having 24/7 ESPN can distort peoples' priorities. I love wrestling, but ESPN has done a great job of turning me off to all other sports.
  15. NW Indiana is considered our strongest area for wrestling (I can see the southern folks just gasping for air after reading that ;D). What would be considered Illinois strongest region? Is it the Chicago area or somewhere else?
  16. I know it's not winning team state but does anyone know how much emphasis/appreciation schools like Mater Dei, Mishawaka, Crown Point have for winning the coaches' trophy? If I had to guess Mater Dei and Mishawaka kind of just dismiss it for "bigger fish to fry." But I can see Crown Point, not really having any great team achievements that I know of, would celebrate it a little bit or no?
  17. Maybe this should be a top 20 list. Alot of strong wrestlers with good resumes if you ask me.
  18. It'll be interesting to see where Cashe finishes up, considering he was numero uno virtually all season.
  19. For every one of you, there are probably 15 naco-haters.
  20. Naco, everytime i read something you post I want to boo you. I think Y2 should lift the 2 hour wait requirement but only for people wanting to boo you. Just kidding. Was reading the other topic and found this kind of funny. I'll wahoo you because you're alright in my book. Probably will be your first one. ;D
  21. Wonder what it looks like with 10 mats crammed in there.
