I want to know the overall match score break down… I’m sure it would be easy to do but would take time… but I’m guessing CP had less than 50 points scored on them as a team! -
You’re not wrong! I hadn’t heard this much booing at a sectional before! Three out of the four officials officiate at the state tourney I’d be disgusted to see them get rewarded after today! Jay county had a match Myers at 160 hit a headlock and get awarded the two and no back points! Myers had him on his back for almost 10 seconds!

I chipped in and said in my almost 20 years this is one of the worst calls I’ve seen! So looks like combine us together it’s up to 50 years of combined wrestling watching.

The egos of the refs are getting a little out of hand… I noticed the laughing as well! It made me sick to my stomach at the time and it makes me sick rewatching the match… His laughing was ridiculous because it looks like he doesn’t know wrestling! I believe the two on that mat or the ones that laughed it off and talked it over have reffed State matches!

The Dull currie match did not disappoint! Two phenomenal athletes both in on a lot of attacks. Didn’t like the reffing in that one thought it could have been closer based on some takedown/non takedown calls.

The ref awarded ulhman who was on his butt 2 for the reversal and said Calvin had lost control!

Shocked to not see any Belmont fans on here posting about the Calvin Faurote match against ulhman.. My heart goes out to that kid and family. Most definitely got robbed on the reversal call. If anyone has a picture they should post it! Felt that match followed him the whole day and cost him advancing to regionals! Ps. Keep your head up Calvin, much more to life than wrestling!

For those wondering this matched ended with three stall calls within 15 seconds… Three! All while he was in on a shot! Stalemate?

Definitely a sectional people might be looked over… 126 Has wood and Cook who will battle it out in the finals.. With walker and Daniels who are now slouches battling too! 132 is stacked with three State qualifiers and then to add Calvin Faurote who has beat two of them(Ulhman, and pinned Reiley). 138 is tough having two qualifiers and a stud in Loshe, not to over look Hernandez who had a close match with Clark! I feel for Gavin Davis and Austin Lewis(state qualifier) who both won’t be wrestling Saturday at 145. Both would be contenders to be a State qualifier. 152 has three state ranked guys in the weight class with Currie, Dull, and Manley.. Belmont has to be the clear favorite team wise but AC and Jay co could contend.

3 state ranked kids at 152… Not to mention 132 and 138 are loaded.

Thought on the Jay county sectional? Who wins team race? Predictions on individual placings? If you haven’t seen it 132 and 138 look tough, as well as 152 having 3 tough state ranked guys!

Don’t sleep on the ACAC conference! 132 had some hammers as well as 152 had a top 10 match up! The jay county sectional is going to be crazy tough at a lot of weights for the Fort Semi state!

I see what you’re saying, that sectional is THICK in tough competitors from 120-138… Just though 132 pulls some big hammers like Stroud, Houser, and the impressive freshman Hagewood. Gotta love post season moves but like they say, “You want to be a qualifier than you’re going to have to beat someone tough”.

I’m excited to hear some thoughts! I think AC could win it but jay county looks to always be the favorite.. My predictions… Jay co Adams central South Adams Was anyone else surprised to see Ethan Reiley at 132…? Thought he would push to be a state qualifier at 120, 132 is fairly loaded!

My take away from team state so far 4A: Great wrestling ready for the shootout in the finals! 3A: Great finals match! Picking Columbus East! 2A: Two teams from the same sectional going to Duke it out for the Title:(I think Belmont wins) 1A: Tell city should win! Rochester and centerville have wrestled out of their mind! Hats off to Centerville!

I think the top 4 in 1A is pretty straight forward… Not sure I see any or many upsets in 1A… Can someone stop PH?

Hard to go against Brodie this year! He looked very impressive! The pressure he puts on an opposing wrestler is top caliber! My dark horse would be Orr the HWT from Muncie central! I haven’t seen many people make it out the first against him!

If only they could get Norwell back as well as one or two more solid teams! Huge turn around for the ECIC tourney! They could make it into the next tier of tournaments!
