  1. I say Purdue will have 2 AA. I would also like to point out the number of AA at the D-1 level that wrestled high school in Indiana. So even if you think Purdue and IU are struggling, I feel Indiana is well represented on the national stage at the D1 level.
  2. Yes! We talked to Jaggers last year at ISWA Freestyle state and talked about that match. Thad had a hard time getting his feet off the mat on his double leg! The Lawrence central super duels were always 7 quality matches. Jaggers son and my son are the same age and weight, his boy is the reigning state champ. Its fun to see the circle of a wrestling family.
  3. Jerry Gordan took me out Friday night in 03. lost 5-3. He was a tough kid.
  4. Orrin Kleinhenz and Heath Vandeventer wrestled 6 or 7 times in one season, regional finals, semi-state finals, and state finals. Heath finished the season undefeated but the gap closed every match. Orrins only loss's were to Heath.
  5. it would be interesting to know the teams that are loosing the most seniors.
  6. Watching college wrestling out on the edge of the mat is exciting! There is lots of action, and scoring which is good for the fans. It should also make things easier on the refs making calls on the edge of the mat. What is the process for these type of rule changes? When would we know if there are any rule changes?
  7. Does anyone know what the seeds are? Or will we have too wait until tomorrow for track to release the brackets?
  8. When is the seeding meeting taking place?
  9. I did forgot about him, He was a monster too.
  10. I always considered Adam Doherty to be the best headlock technician to walk the earth, but Mathew Koontz may have taken the throne.
  11. Everyone I know still talks about the big leftsided headlock on Mendez! Instant classic! Seems like he pinned a few top ranked guys early last year at the Perry duels too! Maybe Riley Rust and Estrada?
  12. I'm sure Law will be getting bumped up to 170. Although it would be a fun match, but I'm betting we wont see them scrap until SS.
  13. Blake Maurer vrs. Alex Dolly 2003 state finals. The place was rocking. Maurer was as clutch as they come! 25 minutes in is the match.
  14. Keep it how it is but let guys wrestle back for the placement at semi state and state.
  15. @152 the 4th ranked kid from E Memorial got pinned by Tyler Williams and he is currently Not ranked at 152. Just in case you didn’t know, now you do!
  16. Graduated in 2004 wrestled 140, I’m stay around 170 and would hate to cut down to 138. I’d probably have to go 160!
  17. That’s interesting, the ref spoke to his coach the next season and told him that it was the worst call he has ever made and he got caught up in the moment. Maybe you had terrible seats?
  18. I have to say Thadeus Douglas needs to be on this list, he beat a few guys mentioned on this thread, as well as a 2x all American out at Fargo. At 98 pounds, he was giving up some weight. Lost to Sheets in the semi’s from what looked like a bad call from my seat. Pound for pound the baddest around.
