    I know how the seeding works. Just the way it is. Kervin and Carr was a close match this year. I could see Kervin pulling through this time.

    152 should be seeded: 1. Carr 2. Kervin 3. Freije 4. Madson Madson got pinned and teched by two different Union kids last season alone and Carr appears to be as good as those other two Union kids. The win for Carr over Kervin is the reason for Kervin being below him. Madson shouldn’t sniff the the top seed. I look for Freije to make the finals on that side of the bracket.

    I think Payne Carr will be absent for this event. He is on the Union County roster for the Beast of the East (only kid listed for them going there).

    I figured I would start a thread on this since the tournament starts today. Round robin style matches for the 10 teams, 9 matches over two day has to include some decent matchups. Who are some kids to look out for?

    Word is their entire team was pretty much transfers and possibly have been ruled ineligible. I don’t think they rolled out a lineup that matches with their guys that are ranked.

    Union County went to Louisville (KY) St. Xavier's Bluegrass National Duals. I think it might be a new tournament they started up. Floyd Central was there. Kervin lost to Carr from Union County.

    That's a squad. Wonder how close the team scores will be at the Holiday Classic. Interested to see what these out of state teams bring. This MD team looks to be in good contention for a state title.... depending on how the draw lays out in February.

    Well, sounds like a misfortunate turn of events for the wrestler who ended up getting pinned.

    When the wrestler was up 10 and as soon as he got the reversal, the coach should have known that he was up 12. As soon as back points are being counted, it's just natural for coaches and even the ref to know that tech fall is a real possibility.

    Semifinals will be on mats 1 and 2 today starting at 9:30AM Central while consolation round 3 will be on mat 3. I believe Mater Dei has 10 in the semifinals, Union has 8, Father Ryan has 7.
